In 2022, a total of 333,210 sqm of new industrial/logistics space was added to the Greater Budapest stock, the Budapest Research Forum reports.

As of Q4 2022 in the Czech industrial market, the extremely low vacancy of around 1% persists. The share of speculative construction has grown to 40% and the modern, developer-led warehouse stock reached almost 10.8 million sqm, so experts expect that it will surpass 11 million sqm by the end of Q1 2023, the Industrial Research Forum announced in their report.

Construction has just started in the second phase at East Gate Business Park. A total area of 9100 sqm will be available in the hall which offers space for production, assembly, fulfilment and storage purposes.

VGP has secured a major tenant for the first phase of its VGP Park Bratislava project. The just-completed Hall "A" has been leased by Dirks Consumer Slovakia, a logistics company focused on online sales of pet food and supplies.

Bridgeston and ESA logistika have opened a 50,000 sqm tyre warehouse where tyres will be shipped for further distribution. The facility is located at at Panattoni Park Poznań East Gate.

Demand for renting and buying real estate should remain decent over the longer term in Romania and its neighbors, despite 2023 most likely being a bit more challenging than a regular year, according to experts of Colliers. 

Romanian developer Transilvania Construcții has purchased an industrial park in Arad from Comalim in a deal estimated at around €3.5 million. 

Auto Partner, one of the largest auto parts distributors in Poland, has leased 30,000 sqm of modern commercial space at MLP Zgorzelec. It will be the first tenant in a new logistics centre being built near the border with Germany and the Czech Republic. With the new transaction, the total space leased by this auto parts distributor and importer in MLP Group facilities has increased to nearly 60,000 sqm.

Commercial property investment in Romania totaled €1.25 billion in 2022, up 40% compared to the previous years, of which the biggest single deal was Pavăl Holding’s acquisition of CA Immo’s office portfolio for €600 million, according to real estate consultancy JLL România. Last year's result was the biggest since 2008.

Property developer Speedwell has secured financing from Alpha Bank Romania for SpacePlus, its first industrial development located in north-western Bucharest.
