HB Reavis sells Prague office building to REICO

In mid-June, international property developer HB Reavis announced the completion of a major real estate deal. The developer sold its office property Metronom Business Center located in Prague-Butovice to ČS nemovitostní fond, managed by Česká spořitelna’s REICO investiční společnost, for a sum of €89.2 million (CZK 2.3 billon). JLL advised HB Reavis on the sale.

HubHub to enter Budapest

HB Reavis reveals plans for first project in Łódź

Łódź will become the second Polish city after Warsaw with projects by HB Reavis. The company has become the new owner of a plot at 2 Targowa Street in Nowe Centrum Łodzi (The New Centre of Łódź). According to the local zoning plan, the area will consist of office buildings with publicly accessible retail and walkable spaces on the ground floors. The listed buildings located on the plot will also be preserved. The price of the plot has not been revealed.

P3 acquires Czech logistics park from HB Reavis

P3 has acquired a second logistics park near Lovosice, in the Ústí region of the Czech Republic, from HB Reavis. The new park, to be known as P3 Lovosice Cargo, comprises a single 43,500 sqm warehouse which is fully let to a long-term occupier and houses all of its business operations, including offices. P3 Lovosice Cargo has a direct rail link to the nearby international rail freight container terminal. Its accessibility is further enhanced by connections to Exits 45 and 48 on the recently opened D8 motorway.

Hungarian gov't to limit high-rise developments in Budapest

The Hungarian government plans to maximise the height of any building in Budapest at 65 metres, the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office announced. János Lázár told journalists that there is a bill before Parliament that would ban the construction of buildings higher than 65 metres.

New leases

  • The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines has moved to Bucharest-based SkyTower, operating out of a 580 sqm space under a 5-year lease agreement. The building also hosts the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Romania.
  • De Heus, a producer of animal feed, which has built a strong presence in the Polish market, has leased 7,050 sqm of warehouse and office space at GLP Łódź III Logistics Centre. This is the first Class A warehouse of De Heus in Poland. The tenant was advised by specialists from Newmark Polska during the search for the right space and throughout the lease negotiations.
  • Endava has leased an additional 2,400 sqm in the UBC 1 building, part of the Palas Iași mixed-use complex owned by Iulius. This expansion brings its total office area to 5,500 sqm.

New appointments

  • MLP Group strengthened its management structures. Maciej Müldner, a manager with over 30 years of experience in finance at international corporations and banks, joins the Management Board. He will be responsible for further strengthening the Group’s financial position.
  • Indotek Group has welcomed Viktor Nagy, who joined us in September as Head of Non-Retail Sales. With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, Viktor has held leadership positions at international companies such as Immofinanz, EHL Real Estate Hungary and Atlas Estates. In his new role, he will be responsible for further developing our non-retail sales strategy and strengthening international relations.
  • Paweł Reszczyński has been promoted to Land Development Director and will be responsible for coordinating land acquisition and investment processes for new logistics and industrial projects. Developing the land bank remains a key pillar of MLP Group's long-term expansion strategy.
