In 2020 Poland’s first NYX Hotel will open in the middle of the three Varso Place buildings HB Reavis is developing. It will occupy almost 20,000 sqm of space on fifteen floors. The four-star hotel will offer 331 rooms.

HB Reavis has appointed Peter Pecnik to the Chief Executive Officer position in Poland. In his new role, he will manage a team of 170 across the Polish market, the largest among the Group’s business operations. Stepping down from his role as CEO for Poland, Stanislav Frnka is leaving the company after more than 12 years.

HB Reavis received a building permit for a new office campus in Warsaw. Office buildings with open ground floors, a public square and green areas the size of two football pitches may be built at Burakowska 14, at the intersection of the districts of Wola, Śródmieście and Żoliborz.

HB Reavis has successfully sold two Warsaw office buildings to Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) who acted on behalf of a global pension fund client. Offering ca. 53,000 sqm, Buildings C and D of Gdanski Business Center are now entirely owned by the global pension fund.

In mid-June, international property developer HB Reavis announced the completion of a major real estate deal. The developer sold its office property Metronom Business Center located in Prague-Butovice to ČS nemovitostní fond, managed by Česká spořitelna’s REICO investiční společnost, for a sum of €89.2 million (CZK 2.3 billon). JLL advised HB Reavis on the sale.

HubHub, the co-working concept from international real estate developer HB Reavis, has announced the opening its first space in Hungary by the end of this year. The debuting brand will occupy a total area of 2,400 sqm at the well-known downtown hub, Király street. The new office is not only about state-of-the-art space, but education, the pooling of talent and community building will also be strong pillars of its presence.

Marian Herman has become the new Chief Executive of HB Reavis Group with immediate effect. Marian moves into the role from his position as Group Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of HB Reavis. He has been with the company for more than eight years.

Łódź will become the second Polish city after Warsaw with projects by HB Reavis. The company has become the new owner of a plot at 2 Targowa Street in Nowe Centrum Łodzi (The New Centre of Łódź). According to the local zoning plan, the area will consist of office buildings with publicly accessible retail and walkable spaces on the ground floors. The listed buildings located on the plot will also be preserved. The price of the plot has not been revealed.

P3 has acquired a second logistics park near Lovosice, in the Ústí region of the Czech Republic, from HB Reavis. The new park, to be known as P3 Lovosice Cargo, comprises a single 43,500 sqm warehouse which is fully let to a long-term occupier and houses all of its business operations, including offices. P3 Lovosice Cargo has a direct rail link to the nearby international rail freight container terminal. Its accessibility is further enhanced by connections to Exits 45 and 48 on the recently opened D8 motorway.

The Hungarian government plans to maximise the height of any building in Budapest at 65 metres, the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office announced. János Lázár told journalists that there is a bill before Parliament that would ban the construction of buildings higher than 65 metres.
