The industrial and logistics market is booming across the region with e-commerce and logistic companies being the main drivers of growth from the tenant side. Laurent Jechoux, Business Director at Czech industrial developer Contera talked to Property Forum about current projects, market trends and the company’s entry into the office market.

Living, Wing’s residential property development umbrella brand, has announced the launch of its newest residential park development. Located on the shore of the Rákos Stream in District 13 of Budapest, Le Jardin will be Living’s greenest residential project to date.

At the end of May, the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, has approved an amendment to the building law that aims to accelerate approvals on large construction projects. Futureal’s HelloParks continues its development in the western agglomeration of the Hungarian capital, next to the M1 motorway, in Páty. This is the largest project in the history of the company and will complement HelloParks Fót in the North and HelloParks Maglód in the East, next to the airport. The total pipeline of Futureal Group’s industrial and logistics property development company, HelloParks, has now reached 900,000 sqm of GLA around Budapest.

A new shopping centre, part of the multifunctional Bořislavka Centrum complex developed by KKCG Group, is set to open in Prague on June 4. Located next to the Bořislavka metro station, the centre will feature approximately 9,000 sqm of retail space.

Futureal’s Budapest One office park has achieved another major milestone in its development, as the second and third phases of the complex have reached their highest point. Budapest One will house both Vodafone's new headquarters and BT's regional service centre.

GLP has leased 20,000 sqm of logistics space across two logistics parks in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company is developing further GLP Parks in Ostrava and Brno, with an additional two developments in the pipeline for next year.

Avestus Real Estate has selected the general contractor for the Infinity office building in Wrocław. Comprehensive implementation of the project to be developed at Jana Pawła II Square (at the junction of Legnicka and Nabycińska streets) will be the responsibility of Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A. The investment with a total lease area of almost 22,000 sqm is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2023.

Czech industrial developer Contera is entering a new segment and will deliver an office building in the heart of Ostrava. The new project, named Organica, is set to boast intelligent control systems and environmental friendliness, the company announced on LinkedIn.

Local developer Passerinvest Group is preparing its second large-scale project in Prague, Nové Roztyly. The project is to create offices and other jobs for nearly 3,000 people and to provide housing for around 1,500 residents, local daily E15 reports.
