Romanian Impact Developer & Contractor says it got a loan of €4.25 million with a 4-year maturity from Garanti Bank to finance its working capital.

Property developer AFI Europe has taken over two plots of land in northern Bucharest, in a deal worth €12 million, for the development of its first build-to-rent residential project. 

New office spaces with a combined surface of 153,900 sqm have been delivered in the first nine months in Bucharest, of which 107,900 sqm in Q3 alone, according to real estate consultancy JLL Romania. Total deliveries were up 24% year-on-year. 

Romanian developer Forty Management plans to start new residential projects covering 138,000 sqm with a market value of more than €310 million. The investments are in various permitting stages. 

The number of residential units sold in Romania in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 65% to more than 150,000 individual units compared to the same period form 2021, according to official data from the National Agency of Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising. 

Working from anywhere and social distancing recommendations have led to a population migration trend towards quieter areas in the suburbs or in localities around big Romanian cities on the back of the ongoing health crisis, according to a report of real estate consultancy Colliers. 

Phase 2 of Bucharest-based multi-family project Atria Urban Resort is already 75% pre-sold with completion of the project scheduled for 2024. Liria Themo, Marketing Manager at Atria Urban Resort talked to Property Forum about the importance of sustainability and flexibility in residential development and also shared the company’s future plans and her market expectations.

Property company Point Development says it will deliver 107 apartments in its resi scheme City Point in the first half of 2022.  

Romanian property company Metav says that it will kick off the development of a new mixed-use scheme in Bucharest in the second half of 2022. 

Romania's Impact Developer & Contractor says its revenue amounted to €22.29 million in the first nine months, while the profit stood at €7.3 million.
