Colliers to manage Bucharest's Art Business Center

AFI Europe to sell Bucharest office park for €164 million

AFI Europe signed a pre-agreement to sell AFI Park 1-3 office buildings to Dedeman, a Romanian DIY retail company. The agreement also includes an option to sell AFI Park 4&5. The total price for AFI 1-5 is approximately €164 million.

The Bucharest office market recorded leasing transactions more than 100,000 sqm during Q1.2017, almost doubling the volume of transactions recorded in the same period of the previous year. Renegotiations drive the Bucharest office market

Q1 2017 saw Class A & B take-up reach approximately 97,300 sqm on the Bucharest office market and the average transaction size increased from approximately 1,800 sqm in Q1 2016, to approximately 2,400 sqm in Q1 2017.  There were 9,550 sqm delivered in two projects in the CBD (Central Business District), Knight Frank reports.

Prague ranks as hottest spot for CEE hotel investments

Paris claimed top spot in Colliers International’s Hotel Investment Attractiveness Index, an analysis of the investment climate of 20 European cities, despite predictions that investors and tourists would lose faith in the city due to political uncertainty and the perceived threat following various national security breaches. Prague was ranked in 10th place in the index, boosted by the low level of development costs and high number of tourist arrivals.

New leases

  • Tech start-up A4BEE has leased 600 sqm of office space in Wojdyła Business Park in Wrocław. Cushman & Wakefield advised the owner for this transaction.
  • Colliers branch in Katowice has changed its address. Since September the office is located in the .KTW I building on Roździeńskiego Avenue 1a. Colliers has taken the space on the first floor of the building.
  • Meat2Eat has leased 400 sqm for a new restaurant that it opened on the ground floor of One Tower office building in Bucharest. The transaction was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. The building is owned by Romanian developer One United Properties.

New appointments

  • Łukasz Czajkowski joins the team of JLL Poland as Business Services Lead in Tenant Representation Department. He will be responsible for enhancing relations with the BSS sector.
  • Craig Maguire has been appointed Head of Pan-European Logistics for BNP Paribas Real Estate. He will head up the European coordination of the Logistics business (Investment and Rentals/Sales), alongside the local teams of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
  • Victor Cosconel is the new Head of Industrial & Business Development at real estate consultancy Colliers Romania. He has more than 20 years’ worth of experience in sales, business development and general management. Before joining Colliers, he was CEO of Sodexo Bulgaria.
