Romanian developer Forte Partners has obtained the LEED v4 Platinum certification for its U•Center 2 office building based in Bucharest.
The building got a score of 88 under the certification process that was coordinated by BuildGreen.
“Carbon reduction, smart water use and reuse, waste management, green transportation, biodiversity, health and wellness are the pillars of our sustainability vision," said Stephen Burke, Director of Construction at Forte Partners.
The developer said that U•Center 2 has achieved the status of a carbon neutral building in operation (S&C). The project has a leasable area of 35,000 sqm and was completed in September 2023. The first phase of the office complex was sold to Pavăl Holding at the end of 2022.
Forte Partner’s portfolio comprises office and residential projects with a combined value of around €550 million.
