Real estate consultancy Avison Young has launched the X Factor, a guide for companies looking at the best way to attract and retain top talent for today’s evolving expectations of the workplace. 

According to Avison Young, investment activity in the Polish market speeded up in the third quarter of the year in comparison to the first half of 2021 in terms both of the investment volume and number of transactions.

CTP says it has taken over around 112,000 sqm of industrial space from Zacaria Industrial, representing parks in four cities, for an undisclosed sum. David Canta, Principal at Avison Young Romania & Czech Republic, talked to Property Forum about the pandemic’s effects on the advisory market and the company’s international expansion.

The total stock of industrial and logistics spaces gained close to 200,000 sqm in the first half of this year to more than 5.4 million sqm and the sector will continue to expand by the end of 2021, according to data from real estate consultancy Avison Young. 

The new office supply in Bucharest is set to exceed 200,000 sqm in the second half of this year, with almost two thirds of the offices scheduled for delivery by year’s end already pre-leased. 

Avison Young today announced an expansion of its service delivery to clients across Europe with the addition of GVA Real Consult in Austria. It will rebrand as Avison Young. The expansion within DACH builds on the recent growth of Avison Young across Central and Eastern Europe.

After a year from the beginning of the pandemic, investors are continuing their strategies adjusted to the new market conditions. Most of them are focusing mainly on safe, predictable investments. This year Avison Young has observed the third-best opening ever with almost €1.3 billion transacted in 31 deals during the first quarter of 2021.

Investors’ interest in retail parks in Poland has been growing year-on-year. In 2020 this was the most sought-after retail class, taking up the majority of retail transactions. Their popularity has increased especially in the last year, due to the fact that they remained resilient to the pandemic restrictions,  says Avison Young.
