The automotive industry had a share of 56% of the total demand for production spaces in industrial projects between 2013 and H1 2023, according to CBRE data.
Shape Corp. started production in a new 36,400 sqm hall in Pilsen. The industrial complex, built by Panattoni, was created on the brownfield site of the coal mines. Shape Corp. moved here from the Borská pole site to expand its production capacity. Up to 700 employees will work in the new facility.
Panattoni has developed a BTS centre for the Tenneco Group in Gliwice. The European Engineering Centre is to serve the company as a research and development centre for new technologies and Monroe products including conventional drive control systems (Monroe OE Solutions) and advanced suspension systems (Monroe Intelligent Suspension). Around 240 engineers are to work in the new 10,000 sqm centre to support both the leading automotive manufacturers and the other manufacturing centres of the Group.
Panattoni will build a new hall for Hanon Systems, a Korean manufacturer of parts for air conditioning and cooling systems for cars, in the Kladno-South industrial zone. The entire existing site with the existing hall will also undergo modifications.
VGP has acquired a new tenant for its newly prepared technology park in Ústí nad Labem, situated in the northern part of the Czech Republic at a 90-kilometre distance from Prague. The new tenant in Hall A at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City is Bosal, a company from the automotive industry.
Developer Panattoni is going to build a new large hall for 700 workers of the automotive industry in the Panattoni Park Pilsen West II. The hall will be custom-made for the American company Shape Corporation and the hall should be finished in the first half of 2023, says Colliers who negotiated the deal that was one of the largest in the first half of this year.
Kromberg & Schubert, the German producer of cables and electrical systems for the car industry, has sold its plant in Timișoara to Continental Group, according to market sources quoted by ZF.ro. The transaction will allow the company to replace its manufacturing operations in the city with research and development activities.

Panattoni Europe will develop its third manufacturing facility for Ideal Automotive. This time, the factory will be built in Świdnica, at the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest-Park, and will take up approx. 27,400 sqm. Construction works will commence as early as this April, and are scheduled for completion in Q4 of this year. The lease was mediated by the advisory firm Colliers International.
Viking Shared Service Center Cluj has relocated its Cluj-based offices in Record Park, which is owned by AYA Properties Fund and developed by Speedwell. The lease deal was brokered by Griffes.
Asian restaurant Sagakura has signed a lease agreement in America House for a retail space with an area of 103 sqm and a terrace with an area of 130 sqm. Meanwhile, beverage operator Royal Bubble has leased 31.76 sqm and an additional terrace space of 26 sqm in the same building. FruFru, a healthy food & drink option, reopened following a location change in the office project. The lease deals were brokered by Chain Trust.
The Aura Centrum Olsztyn shopping centre saw the opening of the largest Ochnik brand store in the Warmia and Mazury region in Poland. The shop occupies an area of 433 sq m and is located in the modernised passageway of the gallery on level +2.
