Hilton today announced that following a franchise agreement with Grupa Hotele Polskie, two new properties will open in Northern Poland under the Spark by Hilton brand – a country debut for Hilton’s premium economy conversion brand. Spark by Hilton Pobierowo and Spark by Hilton Krynica Morska will open within the next six months, joining Hilton’s 30 trading hotels across Poland. The new properties together create an additional 226 rooms.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton, said, “We are excited to introduce the Spark by Hilton brand to Poland, addressing the growing demand for premium economy accommodations in a market that’s popular with both business and leisure travellers. With Poland projected to welcome more than 100 million arrivals in 2025, these two new Spark properties will compliment Hilton’s existing portfolio of 30 operational hotels across the country, as well as Spark by Hilton’s global presence of 275 trading and pipeline properties. These hotels further enhance our diverse offering in Poland, adding new destinations to our portfolio and helping us to meet an even greater range of traveller preferences.”

The 161-room Spark by Hilton Pobierowo, which is set to open in December 2024, will be situated in the village of Pobierowo, a prominent resort destination on Poland's northwest Baltic coast. The location offers convenient access via major roadways and is approximately a one-hour drive from Solidarity Szczecin-Goleniów International Airport. Key amenities include a restaurant, lobby bar, and a connected, independently managed conference room for up to 350 people and leisure facilities, featuring swimming pools, fitness space, saunas, and a spa.

The 65-room Spark by Hilton Krynica Morska is positioned in the desirable seaside locale of Krynica Morska on the Vistula Spit, a region known for its pristine, high-quality beaches, particularly popular during the summer season. Located approximately 90 kilometers from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa International Airport, this property offers a restaurant, lobby bar and children’s club. Guests can also relax in the hotel’s two saunas, salt room, and swimming pool. The property is due to open in spring 2025.

The carbon cost is already in your building. You just can't see it yet

by Property Forum
A structural shift is rewriting the financial logic of European commercial real estate. It isn't being driven by ESG pressure or voluntary sustainability labels. It's being driven by regulation — and the numbers are concrete enough that ignoring them is becoming a financial risk. A recent white paper by workcloud24 traces the mechanism in detail: how the operational energy and CO₂ performance of a building transmits into net operating income, asset value, and financing conditions. The argument isn't that green buildings are virtuous. It's that inefficient buildings are becoming measurably more expensive to own, operate, and finance.
