Czech real estate company PSN has completed the acquisition of an office building at Botanická 56 in the Brno-Veveří district. The seller was Safichem Group, the industrial group of which tenant Aquatis forms a part. Existing tenancy arrangements remain unchanged, with Aquatis continuing to occupy the building.
"We want to grow in Brno over the long term and build a strong portfolio. The acquisition of the building on Botanická is another concrete step in that direction. It is a property in an attractive location and we see interesting potential for the future," said Petr Pospíšil, director of PSN Brno.
"I would like to highlight the straightforward and constructive approach of Safichem Group throughout the entire process. I believe this transaction represents a benefit for both parties and will in future create space for further development of the property and its surroundings," Pospíšil added. Lucie Svobodová of Safichem said: "The sale of the building on Botanická is the result of a long-term strategic decision by Safichem Group. We believe the new owner will make use of the potential of this property and its location."
In the longer term, PSN is considering converting the building into a residential project, with preparation of the plan provisionally scheduled for 2029. The specific form of future use will be subject to further analysis and project preparation.
PSN is currently developing the mixed-use Brno Jedna district and is preparing residential projects on Komárovské nábřeží, Juliánské náměstí and in the Brno-Cejl area. The company has operated in the Czech real estate market since 1991 and also holds a portfolio of properties in Prague, Pardubice and Hradec Králové, including the Dancing House and City Empiria skyscraper.
