Newgate Investment (NGI) and Redkom Development are collaborating to introduce the first large retail park in the region of the city of Bydgoszcz (northern Poland). It will feature a diverse range of shops, service points, restaurants, and recreational facilities. This marks NGI's first forward funding transaction in the Polish market. The new retail park will cover approximately 16,000 square meters (GLA) and will be constructed and commercialised by Redkom Development, with NGI financing the development process.

The site of the retail park is located at Aleja Jana Pawła II 115, on the premises of the former Glinki shopping centre in the southern part of the city. Its was previously owned by Carrefour - Avison Young represented that company in a divestment of the asset to Redkom Development. The area is surrounded by numerous residential estates, and the location boasts excellent connectivity - over 350,000 people live within a 20-minute drive.

Carrefour will serve as the primary grocery tenant, occupying 4,000 square meters of the facility. Around 20 additional premises will be opened alongside it. Construction work has already begun, with general contractor Daldehog on site. The opening of the new facility is anticipated in the first half of 2026.

This acquisition marks the third retail park purchased from Redkom Development in the past year. Prior to this, Newgate Investment acquired the Comfy Park Bielik in Bielsko-Biała (17,000 square meters GLA) and the Ozimska Park Opole (17,000 square meters) projects from Redkom. The company is also nearing the acquisition of two additional retail parks in Silesia. Currently, the company’s portfolio consists of 35 retail properties with a combined leasable area exceeding 200,000 square meters.
