Globalworth, the developer of office and industrial projects in Romania, has completed a solar plant installation on the rooftop of its Industrial Park West in Oradea.

Developers, tenants, and owners of industrial and warehouse space in the Czech Republic are currently investing heavily in their solar power plants. This trend reflects not only the progressive modernisation of the energy sector but also the gradual move away from dependence on fossil fuels. Within this wave of innovation, we are also seeing extensive technological modifications being carried out in parallel on many buildings, aiming at an overall cut in energy consumption. One of the largest rooftop solar power plants to date is at the Urbanity Campus Tachov industrial park, with a reported installed capacity of 5 MW and an approximate annual production of more than 5,000 MWh of electricity, says 108 Agency in its latest report. 

Panattoni will build a new hall for Hanon Systems, a Korean manufacturer of parts for air conditioning and cooling systems for cars, in the Kladno-South industrial zone. The entire existing site with the existing hall will also undergo modifications. 

Panattoni Park Pilsen West II has a new tenant, Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Air-Conditioning Czech. The hall's premises with a total area of over 24,600 sqm will be used for the production and storage of control boards for air conditioners and heat pumps manufactured in the Czech Republic. 

GLP has started the construction of another warehouse at Wrocław V Logistics Centre. Developed in the Wrocław metropolitan area, the warehouse park in Magnice is one of Poland’s largest logistics projects. The latest stage of the project had already been fully leased before the start of construction.

Halfway through 2023, Accolade’s portfolio amounts to over 1.3 million sqm of total leased space across 26 industrial parks in Poland. The industrial property investor maintains their strong position in several Polish regions, including Western Pomerania, Kuyavia-Pomerania, Lubuskie, and Podlaskie.

According to the latest report from Cushman & Wakefield, gross warehouse take-up in Poland stabilized at over 1 million sqm in Q2 2023. Furthermore, at the end of June 2023, there was 2.1 million sqm under construction, with the relatively strong development activity being driven by higher rents encouraging investors to launch new projects. In addition, Poland entered the top three EU markets in terms of warehouse stock, jumping into third spot behind Germany and France.

According to the newest report prepared by Newmark Polska, in the second quarter of 2023, the total warehouse and industrial stock in Poland surpassed 30 million sqm. Both tenants and developers exhibited caution in decision-making, which resulted in a decline in leasing activity and construction volumes. Meanwhile, warehouse availability in existing facilities increased.

Industrial developer CTP has delivered a warehouse of almost 10,000 sqm in CTPark Bucharest North for FineStore, the largest online liquor retailer in Romania. The lease transaction was advised by iO Partners. 

Industrial developer CTP has opened its first office in Asia in a bid to accommodate growing demand from its clients in this region for investment in production facilities based across Europe. The new office based in Hong Kong will be led by Jaromir Cernik, who joins from fast-growing fintech company Qupital, where he served as a Board Member and Director.
