Warehouse supply in Poland hits all-time high

A record 2.6 million sqm of warehouse and industrial space was delivered across Poland in the first half of 2023 amid clear signs of new-build construction slowing down. The Polish industrial and warehouse stock has doubled in size in the last five years, with Poland being one of the fastest-growing logistics markets in Europe, reveals Savills.

Panattoni to build sites for automotive supplier in Hungary

Panattoni Hungary has managed to sign two contracts to build 30,000 sqm of industrial space for a leading German automotive supplier. The new facilities will be opened in Kecskemét and Debrecen where Daimler and BMW already operate. The name of the supplier was not announced.

Third Accolade industrial park in Cheb secures new tenant

Accolade Group continues to expand its activities in the Karlovy Vary region and is directing another investment of billions of crowns to the region. In cooperation with developer Panattoni, it is currently continuing to prepare a brand-new industrial complex in Okrouhla (Cheb East) with an estimated value of CZK 2 billion (€81 million) and a planned area of 80,000 sqm, of which 60,000 will be taken over by the first tenant, the American tyre manufacturer Goodyear, at the beginning of next year. In addition to this project, Accolade owns two other parks in Cheb, with the area of all three projects expected to reach almost 600,000 sqm in the future.

Shape Corp. starts production at Panattoni Park Pilsen West II

Shape Corp. started production in a new 36,400 sqm hall in Pilsen. The industrial complex, built by Panattoni, was created on the brownfield site of the coal mines. Shape Corp. moved here from the Borská pole site to expand its production capacity. Up to 700 employees will work in the new facility.

Mastermedia to expand at GLP Poznań Airport Logistics Centre

GLP announced that Mastermedia, a leader in Polish food exports, has expanded its lease at GLP Poznań Airport Logistics Centre by an additional 11,840 sqm. As a result, Mastermedia has become the largest tenant at the logistics park, where it will now occupy a total of 28,775 sqm.

Panattoni completes large BTS near Gliwice

Panattoni has developed a BTS centre for the Tenneco Group in Gliwice. The European Engineering Centre is to serve the company as a research and development centre for new technologies and Monroe products including conventional drive control systems (Monroe OE Solutions) and advanced suspension systems (Monroe Intelligent Suspension). Around 240 engineers are to work in the new 10,000 sqm centre to support both the leading automotive manufacturers and the other manufacturing centres of the Group.

New leases

  • Golden Star Estate has secured lease agreements totalling around 2,400 sqm at Warsaw-based Oxygen Park. Puerta has joined as the operator of the SZAWA conference centre, occupying over 650 sqm of training and event space. Additionally, fish product manufacturer Vicziunai-Pol Spółka leased nearly 140 sqm. Existing tenants Parker Hannifin, Diasorin Poland, and Nieruchomości Plus all extended their stays, maintaining a combined footprint of over 1,550 sqm.
  • BearingPoint has relocated its Bucharest office to Vastint’s Timpuri Noi Square, in a deal brokered by Griffes.
  • Lagardère Travel Retail has renewed its 2,300 sqm office lease for its HQ at the Bucharest-based Globalworth Campus, in a deal brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

New appointments

  • Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
  • Michał Kochanowski-Laren has joined Avison Young Poland’s Technical Advisory and Project Management team as Project Manager. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering a variety of consultancy projects across all segments of the commercial real estate market in Poland. Kochanowski-Laren is an electrical engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
  • Colliers Hungary has appointed Balint Laszlo as Director and Head of Design & Build. Laszlo brings over a decade of expertise in technical project management and fit-out execution, with a specific focus on the office and industrial sectors. He previously served as Head of Fit Out at Futureal Group, where he managed project execution, technical delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. His professional background also includes site management and commercial leadership roles.
