Crestyl has begun construction of the Kappa residential building at Prague's Hagibor development, located near Želivského metro station. The fifth residential building in the project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, with Metrostav DIZ serving as the general contractor.
Kappa will offer over 250 apartments with floor areas from 27 sqm to 180 sqm. Smaller units will be located on lower floors, while larger apartments with balconies will occupy higher floors and the building's four receding "towers". The ground floor will house shops, restaurants and services alongside a reception for residents, with access to an inner courtyard.
"Hagibor offers attractive metropolitan-style living directly by the metro – the new Kappa building is closest to the station from the entire area. We emphasise public space and utilise the symbiosis of housing, offices, shops and services in one location," said Viktor Peška, Commercial Director of Crestyl Group. "Before construction began, we had already sold more than half of the apartments."
The building is designed by Ian Bryan Architects (IBA), which has created all residential buildings in the Hagibor project. The public spaces are designed by renowned landscape architect Michel Desvigne, who has worked on projects in Paris, Tokyo and Detroit. Kappa is designed to achieve BREEAM certification for sustainable buildings.
The Hagibor project previously completed residential buildings Alfa and Beta three years ago, with Gamma and Delta finished last summer. The development will eventually include six office buildings, with the first two completed last year. The project features a central square and pedestrian boulevard connecting shops and services including restaurants, bistros, pharmacies and medical facilities.
