Redkom Development has held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its retail park under construction on Lwowska Street in Tarnów. The event, attended by representatives of general contractor SPEC BAU Polska and city authorities, marked the laying of a foundation capsule and the signing of a construction act. The complex, spanning nearly 35,000 sqm of retail, service and entertainment space across around 30 units, is scheduled to open in 2027.
"The construction of the retail park in Tarnów is progressing according to schedule, and today's ceremony symbolically underlines the progress of works. Ahead of us are further months of intensive construction, the result of which will be the largest retail project completed to date by Redkom Development," said Michał Szwedzicki, project director at Redkom Development.
Confirmed tenants include Lidl Polska, JULA, CCC, Shock Price, Rossmann, Martes Sport, Pepco, Ochnik, Sinsay, TEDi, Media Expert, RTV Euro AGD, Dr Materac and Xtreme Fitness Gyms. The scheme will also include a five-screen Cinema City cinema, placing it among the first retail parks in Poland to combine a retail park format with a cinema offer.
Redkom Development states it has already delivered more than 100,000 sqm of retail space across its retail parks in Poland, with a further approximately 85,000 sqm currently under construction. Its completed portfolio includes BIG Łubna, Ozimska Park in Opole, Comfy Park Bielik in Bielsko-Biała, Przystanek Karkonosze in Miłków, BIG Dzierżoniów and Comfy Park Bydgoszcz. Projects are also under way in Otwock, Lublin and Białystok.
