Work starts on Panattoni's third park in Bydgoszcz

Panattoni has begun the construction of Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III with a planned area of 43,000 sqm. The first tenant is Reconext, a company that services electronic equipment, and the size of the lease is 12,800 sqm. The building is to be constructed to BREEAM 'Very Good' certification standards, and solar panels are to be installed for the use of the tenant.

Scallier’s retail parks in Romania to be certified under BREEAM

Polish company Scallier, which is developing a chain of retail parks in Romania under the brand name Funshop Park, has decided to choose BREEAM as the certification system for newly built schemes. Gleeds, one of the world’s largest companies operating in the construction consultancy market, is responsible for the certification process as well as project and cost management services. By 2022, Scallier plans to deliver 6 assets under the Funshop Park brand, which will offer a total of 40,000 sqm of modern retail space (GLA). Further projects are in the preparatory stage.

Accolade to invest €21 million in new industrial park near Szczecin

Accolade is investing in another location in the Zachodniopomorskie Province. As part of the first stage of Panattoni Park Szczecin Airport, located in Goleniów, the Accolade portfolio will be expanded with 28,800 sqm of modern warehouse space. The value of the investment is estimated at €21.3 million, and the first tenant of the new space will be Bosch brand. The construction is already underway and the first phase will be completed in the first quarter of 2021. The developer of the project is Panattoni. The project in Goleniów is a natural step in the development of Accolade in the region, after the company has continuously invested in the expansion of Panattoni Park Szczecin, which currently has an area of more than 183 thousand sqm.

Panattoni tops out 15,000 sqm BTS facility in Rzeszów

Panattoni and Phoenix Contact E-Mobility, operating in the area of charging technology for electromobility, celebrated the first construction phase of a new electric mobility plant at Rzeszów-Dworzysko Science and Technology Park. Just in two months, the entire hall structure was constructed and covered with a roof. Starting Q1 2021, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility will manufacture and test various AC and DC charging cables and will supply them, among others, to leading automotive producers. Polish Investment & Trade Agency (PAIH) helped with the efficient implementation of the investment. Colliers International advised the tenant for this transaction.

SES to install solar panels on top of more shopping centres

The SES-operated shopping centre Weberzeile located in Ried, Upper Austria, now generates its own environmentally friendly solar power, which is also the case at SES shopping centre Murpark in Graz. Last week, SES Spar European Shopping Centers commenced operation of a 520-kWp photovoltaic rooftop installation, which produces approximately 500,000 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year for its own use and reduces CO2 emissions by 128 tons. The photovoltaic system installed atop Weberzeile is the largest to be mounted by SES to date and is the benchmark for the installation of solar power systems on the roofs of other SES shopping centres throughout Austria.

New leases

  • EPP's Outlet Park Szczecin, the only outlet centre in Western Pomerania, is strengthening its fashion offerings by signing agreements with three brands previously unavailable in the region. JACK & JONES and Evenemen, with their men's fashion collections, and the premium optician OUTLY, have already opened their stores. eobuwie will also join the tenant roster this fall. VENEZIA, TATUUM, WITTCHEN, and Pako Lorente are also continuing their partnerships with the centre, significantly expanding their stores, while Lee Wrangler and German Optiker are moving to new locations. The new agreements and extensions cover a total area of nearly 1,800 square meters.
  • mFinanse S.A. has extended its current lease at the LIFE_Building in Warsaw and expanded its office space. As of July this year, the mBank Group company will occupy a total of 350 sqm in the building owned by VIG Fund. During the transaction, VIG Fund was represented by JLL, the exclusive leasing agent for LIFE_Building, while Deloitte Legal provided legal advisory services.
  • Stay Fit Gym, the largest fitness chain in Romania and Eastern Europe, is launching a new premium concept for those seeking high-end facilities. The brand is debuting its first "Black" type centre in the Palas Iași mixed-use complex, owned by Iulius.

New appointments

  • Avison Young's Valuation and Advisory team in Poland has welcomed a new member, Michał Marynowski, who takes the role of Assistant Valuer. Among other experiences, he worked at the Court of Appeal in Warsaw, where he was responsible for verifying execution documentation for selected investments, updating data in the premises database for court buildings, and analysing tender bids. Proficient in GIS, AutoCAD, and Revit, he also has strong skills in interpreting planning documents.
  • Golden Star Group, an international investment firm operating in the real estate sector, has announced the promotion of two key specialists within its Polish team. Paweł Moczybroda has been appointed Group Chief Financial Officer, while Ewa Dragunajtys has been promoted to Head of Asset Management.
  • Tomasz Chojnacki, a commercial property expert with nearly 20 years’ experience, has joined international real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska as Regional Director for Southern Poland in its Office Department, with effect from 1 August. His key responsibilities include representing office tenants during relocations and lease renegotiations.
