Average price of older Czech flats falls 9% year-on-year

The average price of older flats in the Czech Republic fell by nine percent year-on-year to CZK 82,351 per sqm (€3,510 per sqm), which brought an overall increase in sales by two-thirds compared to the previous year. However, Prague has seen the fewest sales of older apartments in four years. According to ČTK and HN.cz, this is the result of a study by the real estate group European Housing Services (EHS), which uses data from its founding members, Bezrealitky and Maxima Reality.

Weerts Group to build huge logistics park near Budapest

Belgian logistics developer Weerts Group has teamed up with Hungarian-Belgian partner RaktárAD to build a new industrial facility near the Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The park will offer almost 200,000 sqm of logistics and 37,000 sqm of mezzanine and office space. Weers Logistic Park (WLP) is the group's third project realised in Hungary.

Office vacancy grows in Polish regional cities

The Polish Chamber of Commercial Real Estate (PINK) has published figures summarizing office market in eight major regional markets in Poland (Kraków, Wrocław, the Tri-City, Katowice, Poznań, Łódź, Lublin, Szczecin) for Q1 2023. The data is sourced from advisory companies from the commercial real estate sector (BNP Paribas Real Estate, CBRE, Colliers, Cushman&Wakefield, JLL, Knight Frank, Newmark Polska, Savills) and includes information on existing modern office stock, new completions, take-up volumes and vacancy rates.

New leases

  • Savills was awarded exclusive rights to commercialise premises near Powstańców Square in Warsaw in March 2024. In just three months. Now the company announced the signing of a 900 sqm lease with BYD. The flagship showroom of the automotive brand opened as planned in early 2025.
  • Arcadis has leased 2,200 sqm for its new offices in Palas Campus Iași project, owned by Iulius. The lease deal was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
  • Ipsos Interactive Services, the market research and opinion polling company, is relocating its offices in Business Garden Bucharest. The company has leased 2,321 sqm in the project owned by Vastint Romania. The lease deal was brokered by Griffes.

New appointments

  • Tomáš Fabian has taken on the responsibility of leading the Czech commercial development team at Skanska as Executive Vice President Operations Czech Republic, while still keeping the current responsibilities as Executive Vice President Legal Counsel (CEE).
  • Magdalena Zagórska, a commercial property expert with 15 years of professional experience, has joined international real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska as Director in the Office Department, with effect from 2 June 2025. Her key responsibilities include representing office tenants during relocations and lease renegotiations.
  • Trei Real Estate Poland expands its management board - Jacek Wesołowski and Paweł Gołuchowski are joined by Mariusz Cegielski and Dariusz Węglicki. The company announces "dynamic growth in the residential and retail segments".
