Colliers International Poland has published the results of the Office Agency in the Landlord Representation division. In 2019, Colliers advisors rented a total of over 118,000 sqm of office space. This result is nearly 40% higher than in 2018 (88,106 sqm) and 260% higher compared to 2017 (32,824 sqm).

HB Reavis has secured a €162 million loan from a consortium of four banks – Santander Bank Polska, Bank Pekao S.A., PKO Bank Polski S.A. and BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. – for the construction of its 78,000 sqm Forrest office campus in Warsaw.  

Demand for alternative residential investments, mainly student housing and residential-for-rent, is clearly growing in Central & Eastern Europe with countries like Poland offering great opportunities for developers. More than 130 real estate professionals came together at the first-ever Alternative Investment Forum, organized by CEE event and intelligence hub Property Forum, in Warsaw.

Atrium European Real Estate published its financial results for 2019 and announced that the Board and management had been undertaking a strategic review to identify further growth opportunities to deliver strong, long term sustainable income returns to shareholders. The strategic review focused on, amongst other things, leveraging the operating platform in Poland and the Czech Republic and diversification into other classes of real estate, focusing on residential-for-rent

According to the latest “Occupier Economics” report prepared by Cresa Poland, gross take-up hit an all-time high in the Warsaw office market in 2019. Leasing volume came to almost 880,000 sqm, up by nearly 42,000 sqm on the previous peak year 2015. The market reported an approximately 7% increase in total office take-up in the four quarters of 2019 compared to the annual average for 2015-2019.

Occupier demand for office space in Warsaw remained robust, with 878,000 sqm transacted in 2019, up by 2% on the peak year 2018. Cushman & Wakefield presented a summary of 2019 on the Warsaw office market.

At the end of 2019, Poland’s total industrial stock topped 18.6 million sqm, with warehouse supply hitting a record high of 2.72 million sqm in the past 12 months. CPI Property Group announced the acquisition of the Green Corner A office building in Warsaw.  The property was acquired from DWS Group, one of the world's largest asset managers and a significant investor in commercial real estate in the CEE region.

The Neopark office complex, one of the flagship investments of Yareal Polska, is now fully leased, with companies such as Play, Inpost, New Work, Olympus and Mitsubishi opening their offices in the buildings’ 24,000 sqm of space. Experts from JLL were responsible for the commercialization of the project.

Cushman & Wakefield consolidate its Warsaw headquarters at The Warsaw HUB in the city’s new business centre. The global commercial real estate services company will occupy nearly 2,500 sqm of office space in the skyscraper.
