Belgian real estate developer Atenor says it struck a deal to sell its Bucharest-based office project Hermes Business Campus to Adventum International, a Malta-based boutique investment fund manager and its partners for an undisclosed sum.

Real estate developer Speedwell has concluded a partnership with Rovere Mobili that covers the residential projects The Ivy and Record Park in Bucharest.  

Real estate company Prima Development Group is investing €20 million in a residential project located in Timpuri Noi area, Bucharest’s emerging business hub. 

New office projects with a combined surface of 220,000 sqm will be delivered in Bucharest this year, up compared with the stock of 155,000 sqm that was finished during 2020, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Cushman & Wakefield has summarised the first quarter of 2021 in the CEE commercial real estate market. Investment volume at the end of the first quarter stands at €2 billion, down by around 20% compared to the same period in 2020.

The development of the industrial and logistics market remains strong in 2021 in terms of leasing transactions and deliveries of new projects. Demand for new spaces across Romania is driven by automotive and retail players. 

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has successfully subscribed to a €67 million ticket as part of an inaugural eight-year €600 million green bond issuance by VGP NV, a pan-European provider of logistics and semi-industrial real estate. EBRD’s investment will support the development of sustainable semi-industrial and logistics parks in Hungary, Latvia, Romania and the Slovak Republic.

The industrial and logistics market in Romania recorded leasing deals for around 200,000 sqm in the first quarter of 2021, a volume that is double compared to the same period of 2020, according to a report by real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

The Q1 2021 results of the RICS Global Commercial Property Monitor indicate a slightly less negative market sentiment across Europe compared to the previous quarter. Rental growth expectations remain negative within the office and retail sectors across all European nations covered, while the outlook for industrial markets has never been more positive.

Impact Developer & Contactor has named Constantin (Tinu) Sebeșanu as CEO of the company, with a 4-year mandate. He is replacing Sorin Apostol, who was appointed Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors at the General Shareholders Meeting.
