Over 300 buildings and real estate properties were certified as ‘green buildings’ between 2010-2020 in Romania, a period that marked the first decade of sustainable development. Romania ranks 3rd among CEE countries, after Poland (1232 certificates) and Czech Republic (422). The next positions are occupied by Hungary (232) and Slovakia (124). The accelerated growth is deemed to continue, as green buildings become a strategic tool in reaching EU Green Deal targets, according to the BuildGreen 2020-2020 Sustainable Development Report.

CPI Property Group and Aroundtown notified Globalworth of a series of transactions in respect of their existing holdings which have resulted in Zakiono, an entity indirectly owned by the consortium holding a total of 51.50% of the shares in the company. Zakiono now itself holds sufficient voting rights to exert statutory control over the company, including in due course the ability to appoint and remove directors from the board.

A&D Pharma, a subsidiary of Dr.Max Group, has leased a warehouse of 9,000 sqm in CTPark Sibiu, in a bid to streamline its distribution supply chain for pharmacies located in the central and western Romania as well as for online orders.

Romanian real estate developer One United Properties has raised €52.8 million from its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and reached a capitalization of €580 million. 

Romanian developer One United Properties has acquired a new land of 23,350 sqm in the second district of Bucharest, one week after closing a separate land deal in the city.

Spanish-based developer Gran Via has appointed Antoanela Comșa as the new President of its Romanian operations. She is replacing Jose Aguinaga, who will remain the main shareholder of the company.

The residential sector has proven its resilience during the pandemic and housing accounts for 69% (over €20 billion) of the loans granted to Romanians, according to a report by the National Bank of Romania (BNR). 

Enel X Romania is implementing a photovoltaic (PV) system for retailer Kaufland Romania. The project is developed near the company’s logistics centre in Turda following an investment of €1 million.
