In recent months, the Czech industrial property market has recovered from a significant drop. Realised demand has shown a marked increase in the Q2 2024 period, according to a market report published by Colliers.

The surface of an asphalt parking lot has heated up to an average temperature of almost 52°C during a hot summer day. The green area with vegetation in its immediate vicinity has been at the same time up to 22°C cooler. The Ukrainian retail market is showing resilience despite objective negative factors (unstable consumer demand, declining purchasing power) and is gradually approaching 2021 levels. New office projects with a combined leasable area of nearly 64,000 sqm were completed during H1 2024, with the volume soaring almost three-and-a-half times compared to the same period of 2023, according to a BNP Paribas Real Estate report.

The first half of 2024 has seen CEE investment volumes increase by ca. 29% YoY. According to preliminary results, this is contrary to European and Global results, where activity is still subdued. Given the current conditions, Colliers expect 2024 volumes could reach up to ca. €5.5 billion, around half of the 10-year average, as it has revealed in its latest “H1 2024 Investment Scene” report.
