Radisson Hotel Group is launching a rapid testing service for meeting and event attendees at properties across its EMEA portfolio. The testing program builds on the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol launched in 2020. In addition, upon full implementation of the program every hotel will be able to provide guests with the option to visit an easily accessible and affordable PCR testing location, either at the hotel site or in its vicinity.

Radisson Hotel Group announced the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sopot and the Radisson Hotel Szklarska Poręba, bringing its portfolio to 14 properties in operation in Poland.

Radisson Hotel Group is launching a global roll-out plan of plastic reduction – including the introduction of bulk amenities in all hotels across the group’s portfolio by 2022. 

Europa Capital has sold the Radisson Collection hotel in Warsaw on behalf of its value add fund, Europa Fund V to Wenaas Hotels Europe A/S, part of Wenaasgruppen. The sale follows the comprehensive refurbishment of the property, which has been upgraded from a Radisson Blu to a five star Radisson Collection branded hotel, the first in Poland. The 311-room hotel will continue to be operated by Radisson Hospitality AB under an International Management Agreement.

Real estate developer Mulberry Development, controlled by businessman Ovidiu Șandor, has obtained the building permit for the Radisson Blu hotel in Timișoara. The 160-room hotel will be completed in 2021. The hotel will be operated by the Radisson Hotel Group.

Radisson Hotel Group announced an agreement with Polish hotel investor Europlan for a new Radisson Blu resort in Poland. Located in Mazury Lakes, the Radisson Blu Resort, Ostroda Mazury Lakes will have its own marina and water park. The new property brings the group´s portfolio in Poland to 19 properties across five brands – including Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson – and will strengthen the group´s position as the largest international operator for leisure destinations in Poland.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of its fourth Radisson Blu property in Romania, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj-Napoca – based in the regional capital of Transylvania. The hotel is to open in spring 2021.

Radisson Hotel Group announced an agreement with Zdrojowa Invest & Hotels group for two new-build Radisson resorts in Poland. The hotels span the country, from the foothills of the Karkonosze Mountains in Szklarska Poręba to the northern Baltic coast in Kołobrzeg. The hotels will be part of the upscale Radisson brand, bringing the group's portfolio in Poland to 18 properties across five brands – including Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson.

Radisson Blu announced the opening of a new Radisson Blu Hotel in Prague. The reopening of this modern hotel follows the transformation of an existing property, with major capital investment going into the project to upgrade and rebrand the former hotel.

Europa Capital has completed a comprehensive refurbishment of Warsaw’s Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel, which has now reopened as a five star Radisson Collection branded hotel.
