At the end of 2018, Poland’s industrial and warehouse stock reached 15.79 million sqm. Around 2.22 million sqm of modern warehouse and industrial space was delivered to the market last year, down by just 6% on 2017’s level. With 792,000 sqm constructed in the last 12 months, Central Poland reported a record-high development activity with large-scale completions for BSH, Media Expert and Smyk at Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź (a total of 214,000 sqm), Hillwood BTS Zalando 1 in Głuchów (125,000 sqm) and Panattoni Park Stryków III (91,000 sqm). Other leading markets in terms of new supply were Upper Silesia (303,000 sqm), Wrocław (219,000) and Warsaw suburbs (205,000 sqm).

Piotr Krawczyński joined the BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland team as Head of Capital Markets CEE. He will be responsible, among others, for acquiring new accounts and coordinating sale/purchase transactions in Central and Eastern Europe. His duties will include advisory in the field of financing real estate investment projects.

Euro Styl S.A. - a Tri-City developer specializing in residential projects and part of the Dom Development S.A. Capital Group - has acquired an investment land parcel located in the Młode Miasto area of Gdańsk, from Atrium European Real Estate Ltd. Radisson Hospitality AB, publicly listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Sweden and part of the Radisson Hotel Group, announced the opening of the Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk in Poland. Highlighted as the first new Radisson in Europe, the hotel brings the group's portfolio to 17 hotels and almost 3,800 rooms in operation or under development in Poland.

In 2018, Poland joined the group of 25 most developed economies in the world. At the end of 2018, the total office stock of Katowice, Poland’s fifth largest office market, stood at 519,300 sqm. Last year’s new supply amounted to 50,800 sqm (+218% y/y) delivered across ten office projects, the biggest completions being .KTW (18,200 sqm), Silesia Business Park IV (10,700 sqm) and GPP Business Park IV – Bloch (7,500 sqm). Another 52,000 sqm of office space is expected to be constructed at seven new office schemes in the coming 12 months, according to Cushman & Wakefield.

An application that allows you to order room service with an emoji, a hotel lobby arranged to resemble a coworking office, a bar that serves regional beers, or spaces where you can feel part of the local community – these are just some of the new features being implemented by a growing number of hotels. The reason? Growing customer expectations have motivated both operators and owners to create hotel brands that will provide unique experiences, according to JLL.

According to a recent report by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, Kraków and Wrocław are at the lead of cities with the highest volume of new office supply for 2018 in Poland. The two markets hold 59% of the new space completed and delivered in the eight key regional cities and account for more than half of the net take-up generated last year.

Aberdeen Standard European Logistics Income PLC has acquired a logistics warehouse in Kraków from global real estate developers Panattoni Development Co and Marvipol SA.
