ATAL SA – a Polish developer – selected Knight Frank as its exclusive agent to commercialize the Krakowska 35 office property in Wrocław. The consultancy will also manage the property. The edifice with a total area of ca. 14,000 sqm will be handed over for use in Q1 2021.

Over the last decade, the country's retail sector has grown by nearly 40%. The increasing maturity of the sector has changed how new stock is distributed and has motivated landlords to diversify their offer. JLL summarised conditions on Poland's retail market.

Challenges and changes in the retail sector are continuing to impact the dynamics of the European shopping centre market with new research from Cushman & Wakefield showing development activity across the continent is strongly polarised at both a country and city level.

Panattoni Europe has completed nearly 17,000 sqm of space for DHL Parcel Polska. It consists of two distribution centres dedicated to e-commerce operations, built in the Warsaw region – at Panattoni Park Pruszków III and in Radzymin. Both facilities have been developed in line with DHL’s GOGREEN policy and have undergone BREEAM environmental certification process, achieving a Good and Very Good rating.  

Cushman & Wakefield has advised on the acquisition of a 17-hectare plus land in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław. The new owner of the land is Segro, a developer and owner of warehouse parks in nine countries across Europe.

Oxenwood Real Estate, the UK and European real estate investment management firm, has acquired a newly developed logistics facility near Warsaw from a joint venture between Panattoni Europe and Bluehouse Capital for €13.5 million.

Hines European Value Fund, acting through its subsidiary Gisla, plans to acquire the Wola Center office building in Warsaw from Develia. The parties have signed a preliminary agreement with the deal value set at €101.9 million.

Hungarian investor and developer Wing has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire majority interest (c.a. 56% of shares) in Echo Investment, a Polish developer listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Echo Investment has almost 90 projects in the pipeline, with the total estimated usable area of c.a. 1.3 million sqm.

CPIPG expects to acquire more than €800 million of high-quality offices in Warsaw, Poland during Q4 2019 and early Q1 2020. The company’s team in Warsaw has identified eight properties totalling more than 235,000 sqm and has signed letters of intent (with exclusivity) on assets valued at more than €700 million.

Multi Poland has been appointed by Union Investment to provide property management services for two shopping centres in Poland, Ferio Konin in Konin and Sarni Stok in Bielsko-Biała, as of 1 October 2019. The agreements include full centre management, leasing and marketing.
