CBRE GI acquires logistics portfolio in Poland and Germany

CBRE Global Investors has acquired on behalf of its investors, the ‘Hillwood Portfolio’ consisting of four standing logistics parks in Poland totalling 220,608 sqm. The vendor was Hillwood. CBRE Global Investors has also agreed to acquire from Hillwood a pipeline of projects currently under development. These consist of two new parks and two extensions in Poland totalling 134,165 sqm and two new developments in Germany totalling 71,684 sqm.

Staamp Poland to extend its manufacturing facility

Staamp Poland Sp. z o.o., a manufacturer of plastic components for the automotive industry, will add 2,600 sqm to its manufacturing facility in Błonie near Warsaw. Brica Group Sp. z o.o. is the general contractor of the project. Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield represented Staamp Poland.

Prologis delivers fourth logistics facility in Szczecin

Prologis has started construction of a speculative facility totalling 9,200 square metres at Prologis Park Szczecin. The building is 60 percent pre-let to an international furniture company, which will occupy a total of 19,600 square metres in the park, including space in the new development. The building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017.

Norges acquires 50% stake in CEE logistics portfolio

Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has acquired a 50 percent interest in a logistics portfolio comprising eight buildings and developable land in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, in a joint venture with Prologis. During the same period, three logistics properties in France have been sold.

Prologis expands in Bratislava

Prologis has announced that it will begin construction of a 21,140 sqm speculative facility at Prologis Park Bratislava to meet high demand from customers throughout the region. The building, DC15, will be situated on a 22.6-hectare plot of land that was acquired by Prologis in the second quarter of 2016. The plot has a build-out potential of an additional 66,000 square metres. DC15, like all newly built Prologis facilities, will be submitted for BREEAM accreditation.

New deal in Warsaw distribution centre

KRM Poland, a distribution branch of the shoe retailer Ecco, has significantly expanded its warehousing and operations at Bokserska Distribution Center in Warsaw. The company is introducing its e-commerce platform to the facility and will occupy more than 10,500 sqm. Knight Frank, the manager of the property, advised the owner, UK & European in the transaction.

New leases

  • The owners of the luxury patisserie chain DESEO Patisserie & Chocolaterie have extended their long-term lease at the Vis à Vis Wilanów retail park. The company occupies 93 sqm of stylishly arranged space within the building.
  • Funky Buddha, an international fashion brand part of the ALTEX S.A. group, is continuing its expansion into the Romanian market with the inauguration of its first store outside Bucharest, located in Iulius Town Timișoara. The new location, situated on the ground floor of the complex, marks the brand's second physical presence in the country.
  • HalfPrice has leased close to 1,600 sqm for a new store at M1 Radom centre, managed by EPP. CCC will also spend further years with M1, having renewed its lease agreement. The total area covered by the new and extended contracts exceeds 2,100 sqm.

New appointments

  • Daniel Orczyk has been named Senior Project Manager at the technical advisory department of Avison Young in Poland. He is a licensed structural engineer and building site manager with over 20 years of experience.
  • Łukasz Meisner has joined Peakside Capital Advisors as Head of Project Management. He will be responsible for the management of Peakside's investment projects in Poland, including overseeing the implementation of key investments within the City Point, Urban Parks, and Peakside Industrial logistics platforms.
  • Peakside Capital Advisors is strengthening its Polish structure, expanding its expertise in investment management and development project execution. Łukasz Meisner has joined the team as Head of Project Management. He will be responsible for the comprehensive management of Peakside's investment projects in Poland, including overseeing the implementation of key investments within the City Point, Urban Parks, and Peakside Industrial logistics platforms.
