Hungarian investment fund Adventum Group has achieved the Excellent rating in accordance with the BREEAM In-Use standard for green buildings certification for its Hermes Business Campus (HBC) office project based in Bucharest.

Belgian developer Atenor says it has agreed on a bilateral promise with CEE-focused real estate investment manager Adventum Group for the sale of the office complex @Expo in Bucharest. The promise is under the suspensive condition of the signing of a share purchase agreement by the end of Q1 2023, Atenor announced in a press release.

Commercial real estate investments in Romania totalled €916 million in 2021, up only 0.2% compared to the previous year, marked by several transactions valued at more than €50 million in the office, retail and industrial segments, according to real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

The office sector accounted for 66% of total investment volumes recorded in Romania’s commercial real estate sector in the first semester. Deals worth close to €290 were closed in the first half, down 41% year-on-year, according to a report by real estate consultancy Colliers. 

Property developer Atenor says it sold its office project Dacia One in central Bucharest to Pavăl Holding, then owner of Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman. 

Sorin Dumitrașcu, Country Director, Atenor Romania, talked to Property Forum about the sale of the company's first office project in Bucharest and the decision to expand its investment portfolio in the high-end residential niche.  

Investments in Romania’s commercial real estate sector amounted to €303.6 million in the first half of the year, which was a drop of 21% compared to the same period of 2020, according to CBRE Research data. 

Belgian real estate developer Atenor says it struck a deal to sell its Bucharest-based office project Hermes Business Campus to Adventum International, a Malta-based boutique investment fund manager and its partners for an undisclosed sum.

Adventum is analyzing the acquisition of the Hermes Business Campus office project in Bucharest, owned by Atenor, in a transaction of over €150 million, according to Ziarul Financiar.
