Four CTP buildings in Hungary have received the BREEAM In-Use Excellent certification withCTPark Arrabona - GYR1 in Győr having the highest score among the BREEAM In-Use certified buildings in Hungary. As a result of the comprehensive certification process covering the entire portfolio of the company, all of CTP's properties in Hungary have received BREEAM In-Use certification and 4 buildings have earned an Excellent rating.

CTP to reduce waste generation at Brno office complex

CPI issues Hungary’s first corporate green bond

On 5 August 2020, CPI Property Group auctioned HUF 30 billion (about €86 million) of senior unsecured green bonds with a 10-year bullet maturity. The bonds carry a coupon in Forint of 2.25% and were sold at a yield of about 2.02% following a robust investor response with bids of more than HUF 45 billion received at auction. The issuer was the Group’s subsidiary CPI Hungary Investments Kft., with an unconditional guarantee from CPIPG. Raiffeisen Bank Zrt. acted as sole mandated lead arranger on the offering.

CTP 80% complete on portfolio certification process

In September 2019, CTP announced its goal to certifiy its entire portfolio of industrial buildings according to the BREEAM standard, and in January began the certification process in six countries with local appraisers. CTP now announced the 80% milestone and the 100% certification of its country portfolios in Romania, Serbia and Poland.

Skanska to build CEE’s first climate-neutral office project

Skanska plans to build the first climate-neutral office building in the CEE region. The developer is going to use a solution based on structural timber, as wood is a natural resource that will help reduce the carbon footprint. Construction works on the office building located on Radlická Street in Prague are planned to begin in 2023. Skanska has made a global commitment through a climate target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2045, with a 50% reduction by 2030.

Union Investment goes greener in Poland

Westbridge Advisory International AG, the international entity of operating cost optimizer Westbridge Advisory, has converted a portfolio of six office buildings for Union Investment in Poland to green electricity. By bundling the entire supply with a single utility and the switch of the entire portfolio to green electricity, it was possible to reduce CO2-emissions by roughly 7,600 tons. The properties, located in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan, have a total rental area of around 155,000 sqm and an aggregated annual electricity consumption of 25 gigawatt-hours.

Kraków student residence goes greener

The LivinnX Kraków student residence, developed by Golub GetHouse, has signed an agreement with Tauron, which includes the purchase of electricity obtained entirely from renewable sources, i.e. hydroelectric power plants and wind farms. LivinnX will use the electricity offered as part of the EKO Premium product, which is the only solution in Poland to have a Green Energy Sale Guarantee, confirmed by the Polish Association for Energy Certification.

New leases

  • The dental network of the LUX MED Group will open its centre in the Supersam in Katowice. The new facility will occupy nearly 500 sqm.
  • Canon and NDI Oddział Południe will occupy a total of several hundred square metres in the DL Tower office building in Katowice. The building is owned by DL Invest Group.
  • Genuine Parts Company signed a multi-year lease for office space in Kraków's Lubicz Park B building. The company’s new location, which will serve as the headquarters of GPC Global Technology Center, will occupy one-and-a-half floors (1,500 sqm in total). JLL Poland took part in lease negotiations and is overseeing the technical side of the GPC office construction process.

New appointments

  • CPI Property Group is expanding its retail leasing department. Dariusz Kafara has been appointed as the new Leasing Manager. At the Warsaw branch of the company, Dariusz is responsible for maintaining the maximum level of commercialisation in two retail park chains from the group's portfolio - CityMarket and STOP SHOP.
  • Brian Nyeng Olesen, formerly head of commercial at the Salling Group, has been appointed as the new managing director of Netto Polska. The position was previously held by Hugo Mesquita.
  • M Core appoints Magdalena Kowalewska as the new Chief Operating Officer at LCP Properties, Poland. This comes at the same time that Krystian Modrzejewski has accepted a post as the Group Head of Expansion for Poland, where he will be responsible for realising the opportunity for land and asset acquisition in aid of portfolio growth. LCP Properties Poland is part of the M Core group, which brings together family-owned companies that invest in and manage real estate. It comprises LCP, Proudreed, Sheet Anchor, GIPAM and Evolve Estates.
