Since the announcement of planned skyscrapers in the vicinity of Slovakia's first skyscraper, Eurovea Tower, in Bratislava, at the end of 2024, JTRE has been working on their design with the Dutch office KCAP. JTRE has confirmed that the construction is almost certain, although the project has undergone significant changes, reports yimba.sk.

At the end of 2022, information appeared that JTRE was examining the possibility of building a skyscraper east of Tower 115, on the site where the East Tower office tower was previously planned. The company spent some time analysing the possibilities, based on which it concluded that two skyscrapers could be built here, with one 260 metres and the other 180 metres.

In 2024, an architectural competition was announced in this regard, to which several world offices with experience in the construction of skyscrapers or high-rise buildings were invited. The Dutch office KCAP, in cooperation with engineers from Buro Happold, prevailed in the fierce competition. The skyscrapers were to gradually recede towards the top, creating the impression of several towers connected into one. They were to be connected by a glass atrium with amenities for residents and the public.

The past months were spent further analysing the details and implementation options. Based on these factors, JTRE reached a fundamental decision in recent weeks.

"The decision to build one high-rise building is the result of thorough internal analyses of the project from several angles - economic, in terms of the length and complexity of the permitting processes, construction and technical, as well as from the perspective of the expected development of future market needs," explained Michal Dutka, spokesman for JTRE, adding that the height of the planned landmark will be the subject of further expert discussion. The developer is now waiting for negotiations with the city and further refinement of the tower's parameters. Therefore, JTRE refuses to specify the dates for now.
