Property investor Globalworth aims to reduce greenhouse gases (GHC) emissions by 40% by 2030 compared to the baseline level of 2019. 

Globalworth has achieved the Access4you certification for its entire portfolio of almost half a million square meters consisting of 16 office buildings in Romania, becoming the first landlord to hold accessibility certification for wheelchair users, the elderly, people with limited mobility, and people with strollers. In the first half of the year, Globalworth’s net profit significantly improved to €32.6 million (H1 2021: €12.5 million) due to a fair value gain on investment property and an increase in the share of profit of equity-accounted investments in joint ventures. Globalworth released its interim report and unaudited consolidated financial results for H1 2022.

Dimitris Raptis, Globalworth Group CEO, spoke to Property Forum about the investments made to secure a smooth return of employees to the company’s office buildings and the importance of sustainability and market-leading certifications in a hybrid work ecosystem.

17 Globalworth’s properties in Poland have obtained the WELL Health-Safety Rating safety certification. This means that those assets now meet high health and safety requirements, providing healthy environment for work and social interaction in the face of post-pandemic challenges.

Leasing volumes in the Romanian industrial and logistics market rose by 50% to 542,000 sqm compared to the same period of last year, with more than half of the activity being generated around Bucharest.
