CPI Property Group’s net rental income increased to €175 million in H1 2021 (up 7% versus H1 2020) and its consolidated adjusted EBITDA rose to €172 million (up 5% versus H1 2020). The company published its unaudited financial results for the six-month period ended 30 June 2021.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to sell its entire stake in Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd to Zakiono Enterprises Limited, a company ultimately owned by CPI Property Group S.A. and Aroundtown SA. No value for the transaction has been released.
Globalworth has completed the process of updating the BREEAM certification of its Polish office buildings. In the first half of this year, another 17 buildings in the company’s office portfolio in the country obtained BREEAM In-Use certificates at the ‘Excellent’ level.
CPI Property Group and Aroundtown notified Globalworth of a series of transactions in respect of their existing holdings which have resulted in Zakiono, an entity indirectly owned by the consortium holding a total of 51.50% of the shares in the company. Zakiono now itself holds sufficient voting rights to exert statutory control over the company, including in due course the ability to appoint and remove directors from the board.
HEINEKEN Global Shared Services has leased over 8,500 sqm in Podium Park A, an office building in Kraków's Czyżyny district. The tenant was represented in the transaction by the advisory company Colliers. Its experts also support the client in the process of arranging and preparing the office in the new location.
Globalworth is now the manager of all the buildings in its Polish portfolio – after taking over the management of the Green Horizon office building in Łódź. All 22 office and multi-functional properties owned by Globalworth in the country are now managed by the company.
The Independent Committee of the Globalworth Board has published its response circular in connection with the unsolicited cash offer by CPI Property Group S.A. and Aroundtown SA at €7.00 per Globalworth share. Romania recorded new real estate investments worth €85 million in the first quarter of 2021, down 42% year-on-year, in line with the lower results of other markets in Central and Eastern Europe, according to a report by Colliers.
Globalworth has announced the acquisition of two industrial projects in western Romania for almost €18 million. The company took over Industrial Park West Arad and Industrial Park West Oradea, with a total area of 27,000 sqm that is fully leased.
Gemini Park Tarnów will see the debut of the first Unisono shop in eastern Małopolska. The new tenant will occupy a 152 sqm unit. The store will open later this year.
The Gemini Park Tychy shopping centre is extending cooperation with its long-standing partner, the Silesia Jeans brand. The multibrand, which offers brands such as Levi's, Mustang, Lee and Wrangler, will soon open its second shop in the Tychy mall. The new store will be filled with clothes and accessories from two American fashion brands: Tommy Jeans and Calvin Klein Jeans. The new unit will be 140 sqm in size and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2023.
Building E belonging to the Nowy Rynek complex developed by Skanska in Poznań, although still under construction, is already attracting its future tenants. The international company Wunderman Thompson Technology will open its office here on approximately 2,000 sqm.
