E-commerce player eMAG has leased 10,000 sqm in Globalworth Square in Bucharest for its new HQ in one of the largest office leasing deals closed in the year to date.

The building is part of the Globalworth District in the north of the capital and has a total leasable area of 29,000 sqm.

”We will continue our journey and our hybrid way of working in a welcoming space that people find inspiring and enjoy working in. The new space will accede premium fit-out solutions to reflect our personality and way of doing amazing projects,” said Cosmin Dodoc, VP People and Organization at eMAG.

Following the eMAG lease deal, the building has reached full occupancy. The transaction was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Ema Iftimie, Head of Leasing at Globalworth Romania, added that eMAG has unlocked many business verticals from grocery and food delivery to a marketplace for selling used phones.
