According to Workthere.pl’s latest Flexmark report, larger companies (101+ people) and scale-ups (21-100 people) now account for 54% of global flexible office members, compared with 42% of members last year. The flexible office specialist notes that this increase is also reflected in take-up levels with these larger companies accounting for 34% of global take-up in flexible offices, compared to 22% in 2022 and just 13% in 2020.
According to the latest research from Savills and its flexible office specialist Workthere, London City remains the most active flexible office market in Europe with the sector accounting for 13% of all office take-up in H1 2023. This is followed by Prague (8%), Amsterdam (6%), Madrid (5%) and Warsaw (4%).
IWG, the world’s largest provider of hybrid working solutions with brands including Spaces, Regus, HQ and Signature, is expanding its Hungarian portfolio with four new openings, adding a total area of 5,944 sqm to its footprint. The openings are being delivered in partnerships with different locations that have chosen the IWG flexible workspace platform and have entered into a management agreement with the Regus and HQ brands.
Australian firm Equiem, which offers tenant services for office buildings, has acquired SpaceOS, a European company for workplace management software, in a deal that adds Hitachi as a partner, Reuters reports.
Mindspace, the flex office provider, has opened its second Polish location, Mindspace Skyliner at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw. The new location spans 4,400 sqm and comprises private offices, common areas and boutique conference rooms.

New appointments
Avison Young has named Adrian Crizbășianu, former executive at DB Schenker and VGP, as the new Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency. He has an extensive background in logistics and real estate spanning over 25 years.
Katarzyna Uzar joins the Valuation and Advisory team at Avison Young in Poland to take on the position of Assistant Valuer. She will support the team in creating offers and letters of appointment for valuation and will help property valuers throughout the valuation process.
