AFI Czech Republic has announced an increased occupancy rate across its rental housing projects as well as its office portfolio at the end of 2025.

Swissôtel has opened its first property in the Czech Republic, located in the Unesco-designated spa town of Mariánské Lázně. The hotel is situated near the Singing Fountain and spa parks in one of Europe's most renowned spa destinations.

The Czech investment market ended 2025 with record results. In the fourth quarter alone, property investments exceeded €1.8 billion, representing a 139% increase compared to the same period the previous year, according to Knight Frank data.

Demand for student accommodation in Prague has remained consistently high over the long term, but the supply of new accommodation capacity is not growing fast enough to meet this demand, according to a new study by The Class Foundation and Savills.

AFI Group has announced a new investment in the Nová Elektra residential complex in Prague 9 - Hloubětín. The project, currently being developed by Finep, will be acquired by AFI after completion planned for December 2026 and added to its rental housing portfolio under the AFI Home brand.

YIT has completed the tenth phase of the Suomi Hloubětín residential complex in Prague 9. The Tampere building contains 68 apartments and 5 commercial spaces, with only two retail units remaining for sale.

Geosan Development has launched the construction of its largest residential project Re.Start Petynka with 283 apartments and commercial ground floor, while it also kicked off the Benkova Rezidence on Chodov, comprising two boutique "villa-houses" with 40 apartments. The company also completed another phase of building plot development for individual family house construction in Choťánky near Poděbrady and delivered the Rezidence Radimova Břevnov complex in Prague, featuring 101 homes. 

Generali Fond Realit, managed by Generali Investments CEE and using advisory services from Generali Real Estate, has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of three Lidl supermarkets spanning 6,816 sqm, which are located in Mníšek pod Brdy, Kutná Hora and Olomouc. The transaction was completed in partnership with Czech investment group Star Capital Finance (SCF).

The Czech Republic will launch a new investment fund to support affordable housing, combining public and private capital with EU funding sources.
