Romania’s commercial investment transaction volume could hit €1 billion this year considering the amount of deals close to completion, according to a report by Colliers. 

CTP has purchased a 140,000 sqm plot of land located within the Pomeranian Investment Centre (PCI) - an industrial park located in the vicinity of the largest container terminal on the Baltic Sea. The land acquired from the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency will be used to construct the next stage of the CTPark Gdańsk Port industrial and logistics complex.

Industrial developer CTP has launched its first CTBox building in Romania on the premises of CTPark Bucharest West. 

Investors originating from Belgium had the biggest share in Romania’s commercial property sector in the first eight months, according to a Fortim Trusted Advisors study. 

CTP has handed over a newly completed 18,000 sqm industrial and logistics building in CTPark Žatec to Fiege s.r.o. From this location, Fiege is planning to store and subsequently distribute tyres for retail clients from the Czech Republic, Moravia and Slovakia.

Industrial developer CTP has named Karel Stransky as its new Group Business Development Director. He is tasked with overseeing business development teams in the individual countries CTP operates in.

Industrial developer CTP recorded in H1 2024 a rental income of €320.9 million up 14.4% y-o-y, and like-for-like y-o-y rental growth of 4.8%, while the leasing volume gained 8% to 918,000 sqm. 

Romania’s commercial property sector recorded investment transactions of €418 million in H1 2024, up 131% year-on-year, marking the biggest volume growth across CEE, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

CTP has started construction of a new 11,200 sqm manufacturing facility at its CTPark Zabrze complex in Poland. Construction is expected to complete by the end of November 2024.

CTP has leased circa 18,000 sqm of industrial and logistics space at CTPark Prešov South in Slovakia to a Chinese company producing interior parts for the automotive sector.
