Property developer Scallier says it has secured a building permit for a new retail park located in Turda. The project will have a leasable area of 9,000 sqm and has already attracted a mix of retailers.

Iulius Mall, part of mixed-use project Iulius Town Timișoara, was awarded the LEED GOLD certification by the US Green Building Council as part of the developer’s efforts to line up its portfolio to international sustainability standards.

The Capital Park Group has completed the revitalisation of the Norblin Factory. The complex was granted an occupancy permit at the end of August 2021. The multifunctional project has a total area of over 65 thousand square metres. Its office space has already been fully leased. Visitors to the Norblin Factory can enjoy cultural, entertainment and dining concepts including the original KinoGram cinema, the Bio Bazar organic market, and the capital city’s largest food court Food Town.

The ribbon has been cut on the new Le Dôme winery in the historic Saint-Émilion village in Bordeaux, France's most famous wine region. Designed by British architectural studio Foster + Partners, the winery building’s project manager is JTRE.

Property developer Prime Kapital will open two new shopping centres in Romania by the end of this week. Bârlad Value Centre, with a leasable area of around 20,000 sqm, opens for shoppers on November 30, while Prahova Value Centre in Ploiești, which spans 25,200 sqm, will open on December 3. 

Focus Estate Fund has signed a loan agreement with BNP Paribas Bank Polska for €13.5 million. The funds will be used to increase the Polish portfolio of FEF, as well as for further improvements at three fund’s properties in Poland. It refers to Eden Retail Park in Zgorzelec (GLA - 9,537 sqm), Galeria Sandomierz in Sandomierz (GLA - 4,383 sqm) and Galeria Awangarda in Bartoszyce (GLA - 6,056 sqm). This is not the first deal with BNP Paribas Bank Polska, the bank has already financed the Fund's assets.

The joint venture by Acteeum Group and Equilis Europe is the largest retail park opened this year in Poland. The inaugural ceremony of the 24,000 sqm development was held on November 25th.

Romanian developer Iulius says that retail operator Auchan will have anchor supermarkets in the Family Markets projects developed near Iași.

The pandemic has spared no business, with its consequences most strongly felt by the retail sector, including tenants in shopping centres, retail parks and high streets. Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield examines the situation of retail tenants in its latest report “Is Confidence Returning to the Retail Market?”. 

Real estate group Immofinanz says it has reopened over 10,000 sqm of leasable space in VIVO! Baia Mare and added new retailers as part of an investment of €7 million in overhauling the shopping centre.
