Prologis has expanded its presence in the Prague region through the acquisition of a modern warehouse building covering 17,455 sqm. The building is located in Rudná, 20 km from Prague city centre, and has been incorporated into Prologis Park Prague-Rudná.
The acquired facility includes a cross-docking terminal for rapid cargo transfer between incoming and outgoing transport and a logistics warehouse. Both spaces are operated by DSV, which will continue to use the facility under a leaseback agreement.
The building features sustainable solutions including an extensive rooftop photovoltaic installation, charging stations for passenger and freight electric vehicles, an LNG station, complete LED lighting and other environmental measures.
"We focus on acquiring high-quality assets in strategic locations and are pleased to have consolidated our flagship park in Prague-Rudná. Prague remains one of our most important European markets due to strong customer demand and structural supply constraints. We are glad to have collaborated with DSV on this transaction and look forward to further developing our long-term cooperation," said Roy Levine, Vice President, Head of Acquisitions and Dispositions at Prologis for Central Europe.
Following the acquisition, Prologis Park Prague-Rudná now offers more than 254,000 sqm of modern logistics and manufacturing space. The newly acquired building is the 20th within the park. The facility benefits from its strategic location at exit 5 of the D5 motorway, providing connections to the German border, just 12 kilometres from Václav Havel Airport Prague and approximately 6 kilometres from Prague's edge.
