LPP SA, the biggest Polish clothing manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe (owner of five fashion brands: Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito, and Sinsay) in line with its development strategy for the coming years, leased 25,400 sqm of industrial space from PNK Group in PNK Park SEREĎ in Slovakia. The contract provides for an option to lease another 7,300 sqm in the same building within three years. Therefore, the company could occupy the entire second building of the PNK Park SEREĎ with an area of 32,700 sqm. JLL acted as a consultant for the preparation and execution of this lease contract which is one of the biggest transactions recently recorded in the Slovak market.

Panattoni Europe has embarked on the construction of Panattoni Park Silesia South in Bieruń, 7 km from the centre of Tychy. The project will total 73,000 sqm, and its first tenant is Havi Logistics, poised to take up 13,000 sqm. The 35,000 sqm to be delivered in phase one of the project will be available already in the coming October. HAVI was advised in the deal by JLL.

During Q1 2019, gross take-up, which includes renegotiations, reached 384,700 sqm of the Czech industrial market, showing an increase of 24% over Q4 2018 figures. The Industrial Research Forum announced the final industrial market figures for Q1 2019.

CTP continues its expansion in Romania. The developer plans to add another 200,000 sqm to its 1 million sqm local portfolio.

Total demand on Budapest’s industrial market amounted to 83,680 sqm in Q1 2019, marking a 19% decrease from the figure noted in the same period last year. The Budapest Research Forum published its quarterly industrial market analysis.

Up to 750,000 sqm of modern logistics and industrial space could be delivered this year in Romania, which could push the local stock of industrial spaces to over 4 million sqm, according to Dunwell, a real estate consultancy firm that specializes on the industrial segment.

Panattoni has announced new logistics developments in three Polish cities: Gdynia, Warsaw and Wroclaw. Completion of the projects in Warsaw and Wroclaw is planned for the second half of this year while Panattoni Park Tricity North will be opened in early 2020.

Panattoni Europe announced the development of Panattoni Park Opole. The project, with the scheduled area of nearly 48,600 sqm, will be developed within the city limits and will be dedicated to multiple tenants. The launch of construction is scheduled for Q2 2019.

Prologis has begun a build-to-suit project totalling 9,817 sqm at Prologis Park Prague-Airport for CERVA GROUP a.s., a leading Czech producer of protective personal equipment and workwear.

Panattoni Europe commenced the construction of Panattoni Park Sosnowiec II, totalling nearly 80,000 sqm. Panattoni Europe will also build an e-commerce logistics centre totalling in excess of 44,800 sqm for Amazon in Pawlikowice near Łódź, providing permanent jobs to more than 1000 people.
