DL Invest Group has concluded a cooperation agreement with DHL Supply Chain Polska concerning the joint development of the logistics centre DL Invest Park Psary. Right next to the DK-86 route in Psary in Silesia, modern warehouse buildings with a total area of over 200,000 sqm will be constructed.

Premises for tenants will be tailored to the tenants’ needs in order to optimize logistic processes and maximize their efficiency. The buildings will feature environmentally-friendly, sustainable solutions in line with the GoGreen DHL policy. The selected location is not incidental – the site is situated in the GZM Metropolis area, has collision-free access to the main transport routes of Silesia and convenient connections to the south, east and west of Europe. Another important factor for the partners was access to the qualified workforce in the region and direct access to public transport – the transfer hub, which is already operating, was created thanks to the involvement of DL Invest Group in collaboration with the municipality of Psary.

The cooperation between the partners will be based on the combination of DHL's global logistics competence and DL Invest Group's property development experience. On a plot of more than 40 ha, a comprehensive logistics campus will be built, offering professional logistics services and supply chain optimisation in Class A, green buildings built to suit the individual needs of tenants.

DHL declared that by 2050 it wants to reduce its emission level from logistics activities to zero.

“We hope that the new project, which will bring together all the environmentally friendly solutions implemented by DHL, will play an important role in achieving this ambitious goal,” said Wirginia Leszczyńska, COO, DL Invest Group, and added: “For us, this was one of the important reasons for choosing the partner, as we ourselves attach great importance to sustainable development. The technological processes and materials used so far in the development of DL Invest Park Psary meet top ecological safety standards. The key for us is to reduce the operating costs of the facilities as much as possible by using modern and energy-efficient solutions. Insulated walls, rainwater recovery and greywater recycling system, ecological heating system, are just a few of our standard solutions. We noted that DHL's declaration on the reduction of pollution levels is based on solid foundations – already delivered projects using renewable energy sources, energy-efficient lighting, specially designed roofs, waste recycling and systems for ecological packaging of shipments.”

DHL will be the investor in the project and at the same time it will be responsible for the logistic part of the investment; DL Invest Group will act as the managing partner responsible for the general contracting and management of the development process.

DL Invest Park Psary will combine production, warehousing and distribution centres with innovative logistics services. On the site, there are two fully leased buildings with an area of approx. 31,000 sqm; another building with an area of around 24,000 sqm will be commissioned in September this year; the next stage of the project with an area of 14,000m sqm will be ready in Q4 this year. The following stages will see the completion of about 130,000 sqm of modern warehouse space. The partners' idea is to be able to deliver the target space to customers within 8-10 months from the date of signing the lease agreement.

The law firm DLA Piper provides legal services for the project.
