A new luxury destination is taking shape in the Polish retail market with the opening of Europejski Hotel. The capital is to see the completion of the renovation and redevelopment of one of Warsaw’s most recognized buildings with 160 years of history. The 2,700 sqm of ground floor retail area will feature boutique units. Cushman & Wakefield is responsible for commercialisation of the scheme.

Hotel investment activity in CEE – from the Adriatic Coast to the Baltic Sea – has been booming in the second half of 2016, with numerous hotel properties being on the market and several transactions taking place, as hotel property specialist Christie & Co reports.

The Hungarian hotel market is characterised by optimism, which can be observed in both the development and investment markets. Investors in Budapest are planning to begin multiple projects, the capital will soon be see projects with some 600-800 five star and 1000-2000 four or fewer star rooms. Several projects are likely to manifest in the countryside too, where booking and income-profit indicators show a significant increase and provide developers with motivation.
