Corwin has announced the completion of its first residential complex in Ljubljana, which is also the company’s first investment in Slovenia. After the completion of 236 apartments, Corwin revealed plans for the development of another 1,600 apartments in the same city in the next decade.

Its first project Kvartet was designed by the Slovenian architectural studio OFIS arhitekti, under the direction of Špela Videčnik.

“Kvartet offers city life with a touch of nature. The original project we purchased was completely re-thought and improved with peoples well-being in mind. All the parking lots have been moved underground and volumes of the buildings were optimized so that there will be space for a large, green park, a children's playground and a well-organized space for socializing open to the surrounding location,” said Tomaž Cirkvenčič, Project Manager of Kvartet, Corwin.

Meanwhile, the developer established a local management company called Corwin Home to oversee Kvartet.

Dr. Michal Maco, Corwin’s Director in Slovenia, said the company’s portfolio comprises close to 1,300 completed apartments with another 5,000 in the pipeline in Slovenia, Slovakia and Czechia.

In addition to Kvartet, Corwin is currently developing an office building in Ljubljana that will be delivered next year. Three more projects with residential functions are under planning and will be developed as urban regeneration investments in the city.

The carbon cost is already in your building. You just can't see it yet

by Property Forum
A structural shift is rewriting the financial logic of European commercial real estate. It isn't being driven by ESG pressure or voluntary sustainability labels. It's being driven by regulation — and the numbers are concrete enough that ignoring them is becoming a financial risk. A recent white paper by workcloud24 traces the mechanism in detail: how the operational energy and CO₂ performance of a building transmits into net operating income, asset value, and financing conditions. The argument isn't that green buildings are virtuous. It's that inefficient buildings are becoming measurably more expensive to own, operate, and finance.
