AFI has begun the main construction phase of its rental housing project AFI Home Straśnice in Prague 10.
AFI Home Straśnice is being built on an unused brownfield site between V Korytech and Korytná streets, near the former Prague-Straśnice freight station and Lidl supermarket. The AFI project is one of the first steps in the gradual transformation of the wider area under the city's management.
"Project AFI Home Straśnice, which we consider another important milestone in expanding our portfolio, is now entering the implementation phase. We believe that quality, professionally managed rental housing has a great future in the Czech capital and can offer a stable and comfortable alternative to homeownership. We are also pleased that the project will contribute to the gradual transformation of this part of Prague 10, which has significant development potential," says Karin Shalev Shogol, CEO of AFI in the Czech Republic.
The company currently operates nearly 900 fully occupied rental apartments and flats in four residences, with another 1,282 units in preparation or implementation.
The project consists of two buildings with a shared basement, constructed in two phases launched simultaneously. The first phase is scheduled for completion in Q2 2028, the second a year later. The development will offer 519 partially or fully furnished rental apartments.
All apartments will have private balconies, loggias or terraces. The project will also include 400 parking spaces and storage units for rent, as well as seven commercial units with a suitable mix of shops and services for daily needs of residents and local inhabitants.
