eMAG announces that in the summer of this year, an area of ​​100,000 sqm will be put into use from the industrial park from Joiţa, at km 19 of the A1 highway, which will have a total area of ​​130,000 sqm. All automation will be ready by September 2022, when the entire logistics center will be operational. The investment amounts to €90 million and was announced last year.

Although recently analysts have been focusing primarily on the impact of the pandemic, long-term trends on the property market are also shaped by another factor, namely climate change. The term sustainable development in real estate most often has positive connotations. Certificates granted to “green buildings” increase their prestige and appeal to future users. However, the environmental factor in property valuation also has its dark side. Panattoni has summarised its activities in the field of sustainable development. In 2020 alone, the company obtained green certificates for 2.6 million sqm of its developments as well as a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating for one park with a score that makes it the greenest industrial building in the world. Cavatina Holding has started construction on the second stages of Palio Office Park in Gdańsk and Ocean Office Park in Kraków. The total area of both stages comes to 34,200 sqm.

Bucharest-listed Impact Developer & Contractor closed the year 2020 with revenues from the sale of real estate properties worth €42.7 million, up 29,4% compared to 2019, representing the best result of the developer in the last decade. Penta Real Estate has started the construction of the Masaryčka by Zaha Hadid project in the centre of Prague, the company announced.

The local market for logistics and industrial spaces accelerated expansion in 2020 both in terms of demand, which approached the threshold of 1 million sqm, and in terms of deliveries of new spaces, which reached an area of ​​649,000 sqm, both indicators reaching new records, according to real estate consulting company Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
