GTC is set to further develop the Matrix Office Park in Zagreb by adding another building to the complex. The third building, Matrix C, which received a building permit earlier this year, will be the newest extension to the business centre. Just like the previous two, Building C is meant to provide innovative office space, while maintaining a high ecological standard for an international tenant mix. The shell & core of the building is scheduled for completion in Q2 2023 ready for the fitting out of tenant areas.

The military boarding school Hviezda in Bratislava, also known as "Kukurica", has been dilapidated for many years. The iconic high-rise building from the 1970s has a distinctive architectural style yet is a local landmark. However, it may already be on the verge of being saved. The Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic (MoD) has started taking the first steps towards reconstruction, according to Slovak websites reality.trend.sk and yimba.sk.

Belgian developer Alinso Group has purchased the Metav Business Park in northern Bucharest from Metav S.A. for an undisclosed sum.

Panattoni is once again developing a project for DB Schenker near Poznań. In the second quarter of 2022, the logistics operator will occupy over 20,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Poznań XII, where it will serve its client from the automotive sector. The two companies have worked together in Panattoni Park Poznań VIII in Komorniki. The building will feature reinforced floors, suitable for forklifts that use the inductive loop technology. Panattoni will also deliver numerous green solutions, which should allow the project to obtain the BREEAM certification at the “Excellent” level.

Industrial developer HelloParks will use the €82 million (approximately HUF 30 billion) loan to build its industrial and logistics park in Maglód which is being developed in several phases. The next, second building is planned to be handed over in the last quarter of 2022.

The pandemic has not changed the strategy of RSJ Investments. The company’s core focus in the real estate segment remains predominantly on investments in residential and logistics/industrial development projects. Nevertheless, the pandemic indeed makes certain asset classes, such as retail, riskier, admits Marcel Kolesár MRICS, Transaction Manager at the real estate division of RSJ Investments, in an interview to Property Forum.

Zoltán Fekete was appointed the President of the Management Board of GTC. Previously, he has served the company as the Chairman of The Supervisory Board for two years. In the new role, Mr Fekete will steer all GTC’s operations in the region.

Romanian developer One United Properties is reportedly exploring several options to expand outside the domestic market.
