ITRA Global announced it has launched its operations in Poland and opened an office in Warsaw. The new company, International Tenant Representation Polska, will exclusively represent tenants in the office, industrial and retail market. The firm will be led by Artur Sutor.

Last year, 9698 flats in Prague received final building permits, which is 5363 more than the year before and the most since 1997, the year from which data is available. This is according to data on the construction industry published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO). In recent years, the Czech capital has been struggling with a rise in housing prices by tens of percents a year, which the city's authorities say is also due to insufficient construction. Deputy Mayor Petr Hlaváček said that with the recovery of construction, the prices of flats are expected to get cheaper in the medium term, Czech News Agency reports.

The main themes on Slovakia´s office, retail and industrial markets in the fourth quarter of 2021 were supply-side shortfalls and rising prices. More companies from the medical industry have decided to establish part of their operations in 7R City Park Warsaw Airport III, which is under construction in Osmańska Street in Warsaw. ITP S.A. and Stryker will move into the facility at the end of the year, and Komtur will join them in early 2023. Earlier, Polfa Warszawa announced the launch of its research and development centre in the 7R warehouse located on Osmańska Street.

Over €5.7 billion - this is how much investors spent on commercial real estate in Poland throughout 2021, of which in the last quarter alone, the amount attained over €2.2 billion. The latest report prepared by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland indicates that the past year was marked by a further strengthening of the logistics and industrial sector, making up for losses by retail and the continued battle against Covid's shortage of breath in the office sector.

2022 has started with a significant milestone for CEE-based proptech company Maxify – the opening of a new office in London, with the UK now acting as its primary legal jurisdiction. At the same time, the company has moved its IT infrastructure to be hosted in the Netherlands.

JRD Land, a division of JRD Group, has appointed a new CEO, Alexandra Tomášková, on 1 February 2022. The company has a market value of signed acquisition contracts of CZK 2.2 billion. It now wants to focus on the rapid development of a portfolio of building land and larger land units for future sustainable construction. The development company JRD Development, a member of the JRD Group, is expected to deliver building plots worth up to CZK 15 billion by 2025, the company announced in the press release.
