Froo Romania Retail, part of Zabka Group, has opened a new Froo store in the America House office building in Bucharest's Piata Victoriei area. The lease transaction was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

W. P. Carey, a leading net lease REIT specialising in corporate sale-leasebacks, build-to-suits and the acquisition of single-tenant net lease properties, has announced the sale-leaseback of 123 retail stores in Poland. 114 stores were acquired in July, with the remaining nine stores acquired in September. The portfolio is triple-net leased to Żabka, a leading Polish convenience retailer, for a term of 20 years.

Polish convenience store chain Żabka made its highly anticipated debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, offering 448 million shares and raising PLN 6.99 billion (€1.6 billion), with the potential to increase to PLN 7.42 billion (€1.7 billion) The debut was marked by a 7% stock price rise.

Żabka Group has revealed plans for an initial public offering (IPO) without issuing new shares, preparing for its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). The company’s majority shareholder, CVC Capital Partners, confirmed it will remain a shareholder following the IPO. It may be one of Poland's largest initial public offerings in the last decade.

Żabka Group concluded the acquisition of a majority stake, forming in a partnership with one of the leading FMCG distribution players in Romania – DRIM Daniel Distributie. The transaction is subject to the customary regulatory approvals. 

Żabka Group has unveiled its automated logistics centre in Radzymin, just outside Warsaw. This facility is the largest and most technologically advanced addition to Żabka Group's logistics infrastructure. Enhanced with an automated high-bay warehouse and an internal transport system, the centre has been specifically designed to expedite logistics services for the Group’s stores.

Żabka Polska is preparing to open a new logistics centre in Małopole by Radzymin near Warsaw. It will be one of the largest and most innovative logistics centres in Europe. The launch of the new facility with an area of approximately 60,000 sqm is planned for the second quarter of 2023. Thanks to this investment, more than 600 people will find work in the region - employed directly by Żabka or in companies cooperating with it. 

From December 22 this year, customers travelling on the Wielkopolska Motorway will be able to make quick purchases in two Żabka stores located in motorway service areas, the so-called MOPs - Gnilec (the last rest stop before the German border) and Sosna (the first rest stop point after entering Poland from Germany). The new format includes the 9000th and 9001st jubilee stores. The new format is tailored to the needs of travellers, who can benefit from an extended range of hot snacks, coffee, and sandwiches or salads.

Starting this summer, an unmanned Żabka Nano store operates in Aeropark Business Centre, owned by GTC.
