Colliers to manage Element Industrial’s Bucharest park

Colliers International Romania has been assigned to offer property management services for the first phase of the industrial park ELI Park 1, with a total area of 20,000 sqm. This is the first project built by Element Industrial, a Romanian developer of industrial and logistics spaces, and the fourth logistics park managed by Colliers. Thus, the total industrial portfolio managed by Colliers in Bucharest and in the big regional cities reaches 130,000 sqm, out of a total of over 500,000 sqm that includes office buildings as well.

Romanian office markets might be negatively impacted in case of hard Brexit

The UK is Romania’s fourth biggest service export destination, after Germany, Italy and France, with around 8% of total, though it also generates nearly 12% of the IT service exports, underscoring the deep ties to the office market in Bucharest and other parts of the country. In case of a hard Brexit, just a modest 10% decrease in trade flows with the UK would shave around 0.1% of Romania’s GDP and bring potential pressures on good office buildings, as among companies tied to the UK economy are blue-chip tenants, according to data from Colliers International Romania.

New leases

  • Freundschaft is joining the tenants of the N21 office building in Warsaw. The advertising agency will move into its new premises in May 2024. The company will occupy over 500 sqm of space in the facility.
  • Bank Pocztowy has decided to extend its lease agreement for a space of approximately 2.6 thousand sqm in the Corner House office building on Puławska Street in Warsaw. In the process of renegotiating the lease agreement, the bank was supported by the consulting agency Corees Polska.
  • The MAK Group of insurance companies has decided to remain in its current HQ in the Nefryt building in Warsaw's Mokotow district. The company will remain based in an office of approximately 2,500 sqm for the next six years.

New appointments

  • DVM group, an integrated architectural and construction services provider is restructuring its design department. Ákos Csécsei has been appointed to head the architectural design department and Tímea Fekete-Tóth to lead the interior design department. The managers have grown with the company, with multiple projects to their name.
  • Meta Estate Trust has named Adela Antone as Investment Director. She has around 20 years’ worth of experience in the banking and real estate sectors.
  • The Gdańsk-based consultancy agency Querco Property is expanding its team of advisors in the industrial department at its new branch in Warsaw. Grzegorz Furmanek has joined the group of experts, who - as a negotiator - will also handle technical consultancy for clients.
