Oxio to build new resi district in Bratislava

A new residential area is to be built on the site of the former Matador enamel factory in Bratislava. Development company Oxio promises to build 2,300 flats including infrastructure on an area of 10 hectares. The part called Smaltovna already has a building permit, the developer announced.

Skanska invests CZK 970 million in Prague resi project

Skanska will invest CZK 970 million in the first phase of the brownfield residential project Modřanský cukrovar. On the right bank of the river Vltava, 112 apartments and seven commercial premises within the area of 10,500 sqm will be built. After six phases of the project, there will be 797 housing units, Skanska announced on its website.

PDS plans new Prague districts with 8000 flats in 12 locations

Palmovka in Prague 8 and Nové Dvory in Prague 4 are the largest areas where Prague development company (PDS – Pražská developerská společnost) plans the largest changes and development of new districts. PDS is preparing projects in a total of 12 localities where up to 8,000 urban rental flats should be built, announced the company director Petr Urbánek together with the Deputy Mayor of Prague, Petr Hlaváček at a press conference.

Kajima completes first modular built-to-rent project in Poland

Kajima Properties has completed the development of one of Gdansk’s first built-to-rent schemes. A joint venture with local investor Tonsa and Olivia Business Centre, it marks Kajima’s first built-to-rent project in Poland and delivers a range of units from studios to three-bedroom family apartments. The building has been incorporated within the new @Home operational platform and has quick access to central Gdańsk, Olivia Business Centre and the rest of the Tri City area. The 3,185 sqm building has been fully let.

Slovakia's tallest building has only 40m to go

The tallest building in Slovakia, Eurovea Tower is rising in Bratislava by the Danube. With the completion of the 38th floor, the tower has reached 125 metres, the milestone by which it has become the highest building in the country already and has 40 metres still to come. By the end of 2022, Eurovea will be with the 47 floors and 168 metres the 1st skyscraper in the country, developer JTRE announced.

New leases

  • E-commerce player 4M Pro&Invest has leased nearly 4,100 sqm of warehouse space in Panattoni Park Poznań XIV. This agreement marks the completion of the leasing of the two completed phases of the development.
  • Panattoni has commenced construction on the latest phase of Panattoni Park Gorzów II, developing a bespoke BTS warehouse for DPD Polska. The facility will encompass 5,300 sqm tailored to the courier company’s operational requirements. DPD Polska is scheduled to begin operations at the new site in August 2026.
  • Romanian strategic advisory firm Infinexa Restructuring has relocated its HQ to GTC’s City Gate South Tower in Bucharest. The move supports their integrated approach to delivering complex debt restructuring, insolvency mandates, and preventive procedures for distressed companies.

New appointments

  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
  • iO Partners has announced key leadership changes within its Czech Republic operations as part of its ongoing business evolution. Milan Kilik has been appointed as the new Head of Office Leasing, with a particular focus on client advisory and team collaboration. Concurrently, Petr Kareš has transitioned into the role of Occupier Business Development Director. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and integrating services across Tenant Representation, Project Management, and Industrial Leasing.
