Real estate investor-developer Hagag Development Europe has received the “Best International Award” for the Renovation/Redevelopment of H Victoriei 139, during the International Property Awards 2022-2023 Gala held in London on February 2nd.

The company is the first in Romania to hold this distinction recognized worldwide for the renovation of old buildings with historical and patrimonial value in downtown Bucharest.

Throughout the third judging phase, Hagag Development Europe has successfully competed with worldwide top developers - regional winners from Arabia, Africa, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, USA, UK, and Asia Pacific.

“What a fantastic way to start the year! After receiving two 5-star awards for H Victoriei 139 and H Tudor Arghezi 21, as Best Residential Renovation/Redevelopment in Romania, respectively Best Commercial Renovation/Redevelopment in Romania, followed by two regional nominations, it feels delightful to complete our International Property Awards journey by taking home not only a regional award, but the international title. We see this award as both a confirmation of our vision and an accolade of our efforts to preserve and revive some of Bucharest’s architectural jewels,” said Yitzhak Hagag, Co-founder & shareholder of Hagag Development Europe.

Built in 1940 following the plans of notorious architect of the time Arghir Culina, H Victoriei 139 is an exclusive residential building with prime location and Art Deco influences, recently refurbished and upgraded. It comprises 33 premium residential units and over 300 sqm of prime retail space.

The International Property Awards were judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts, chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, and Lord Waverley, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.
