PSN prepares large rental projects in Prague

Due to the high prices of flats and houses, less availability of mortgages, extreme inflation, as well as the rising price of building materials and labour, people in the Czech Republic are now looking more for rental housing. The influx of refugees from Ukraine has also significantly increased the interest in renting. Under the influence of the enormous demand, rental prices are thus starting to reach the pre-Covida level, and in some places have already exceeded it. According to PSN, the availability of apartments is decreasing and the company is now preparing entire projects for rental housing.

PSN wants to build 3,000 flats in Czech cities

In 2021, PSN has grown not only in the number of collaborators but also in the number of projects and new acquisitions. It sold 294 units for CZK 1.5 billion and completed over 800 leases worth CZK 70 million. PSN's plans for the next five years include the construction of 3,000 new apartments worth CZK 11 billion and it plans to invest another CZK 10 billion in land acquisitions.

New leases

  • ROCKWOOL is expanding its office space in the Nowy Rynek D building, developed by Skanska in Poznań. In 2020, a competence centre was established on an area of 6,000 sqm. Now, the company has decided to lease additional 900 sqm.
  • Primark has opened the doors of its fourth shop in Poland for the first time in Katowice's Silesia City Center. The store occupies more than 3,600 sqm of retail space.
  • Signify is relocating its existing headquarters in Lódź. The new office, located in the city centre in the Hi Piotrkowska complex, has an area of over 2,800 sqm. The tenant was assisted in the signing of the contract and the process of arranging the new office by the consulting firm CBRE.

New appointments

  • 108 Agency announced the appointment of Petr Jílek as the new Head of Property Management for the Czech Republic.
  • From the beginning of December at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, Małgorzata Fibakiewicz will head the Office Department and Justyna Magrzyk-Flemming will take up the position of Head of Business Services.
  • Lucia Niculae has been appointed Business Development Director of Romanian construction company Pedro Construct. She has been an investor since 2018 and currently manages her own property portfolio.
