The office market is now at the epicentre of changes caused by the transition to the remote work model due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the epidemic situation improving, organisations have already commenced planning the return of employees to the workplace. The analysis of the findings of a survey of tenants of the office buildings in the portfolio of properties under the management of Cushman & Wakefield Poland reveals how companies are preparing for this change.

In the first half of 2021, Accolade has achieved a lease of 370,000 sqm of modern and sustainable space to tenants in the e-commerce, logistics, and light industry sectors. The company has also been very active in expanding its current industrial parks and investing in new projects. Almost 100,000 sqm of warehouses have been completed and a further 430,000 sqm of modern industrial space, worth more than €400 million, is under development.

Not surpirngly, the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic has driven up interest in the acquisition of holiday homes. Marcin Dumania, CEO of Polish holiday apartment operator Sun & Snow talked to Property Forum about the holiday apartments industry’s struggles with the pandemic, forecasts for the upcoming months and the company’s investment plans.

Poland-based warehouse and industrial developer MDC² has acquired a new development site that will accommodate a warehouse and logistics project in the Upper Silesia region, located in Gliwice at the intersection of the A1 and A4 motorways. MDC² Park Gliwice will comprise 52,000 sqm of modern and environmentally sustainable warehouse and logistics space.

Cavatina Holding has acquired land in Wrocław from Invest City for a net sum of €20.8 million (PLN 95 million).

Accolade decided to expand its industrial park in Gorzów Wielkopolski. In this strategic location in Western Poland, in addition to the present spaces of 53,000 sqm for modern business, it has acquired new plots and will deliver nearly 100,000 sqm of new industrial warehouses. New projects aspire to BREEAM certification of sustainability at tje “Excellent” level. The total Accolade investment in the region amounts to €125 million.

7R is building an advanced warehouse facility in Silesia for Aluprof SA – one of the manufacturers of aluminum systems in Europe. The tenant, which exports products to 55 countries and has 1,300 regular customers, will move into the building in Q1 2022.
