Romanian industrial developer Global Vision has launched a new technology and innovation division, with a strategic aim of implementing custom AI solutions across its portfolio of real estate and green energy projects. 

Czech-based investment and real estate group Arete has announced the acquisition of a major logistics park in western Poland. The seller was a joint venture of Panattoni Europe and Kajima Properties. The price has not been disclosed. With this move, Arete expands its operations beyond the Czech Republic and Slovakia, entering the Polish market. This acquisition strengthens the portfolio of the Arete Industrial fund, increasing its total leasable area by 25% and raising the value of assets under management to over €300 million.

Demand for industrial spaces is stabilising across Europe, as indicated by the recent European Logistic Update report from Cushman & Wakefield. In the Czech Republic, the situation is returning to pre-pandemic levels, driven primarily by manufacturing and logistics companies.

Warehouse tenants are adopting increasingly advanced technologies to meet client requirements, but at the same time, they also need to be mindful of employee wellbeing. Standard buildings in industrial parks are not enough. Companies need customised warehouses and tailor-made solutions, say experts from Newmark Poland.

Hungarian developer Faedra Group has kicked off the construction of two industrial and logistics warehouses in Budapest, covering a total of more than 21,000 sqm, following an investment of more than €23 million. 

Romania’s industrial stock totaled 7.3 million sqm during H1 2024, while new projects spanning 700,000 sqm were under various development stages, according to a report by Colliers.

IAD Investments has bought almost 80 hectares of land from Valaliky Industrial Park for the construction of an industrial park for suppliers of the Volvo car company near Košice, Eastern Slovakia.

NewCold, specialized in automated and cold chain international logistics, has entered the Romanian market through a 9-hectare land plot acquisition from WDP in northern Bucharest, for an undisclosed sum. The land is located close to the new A0 ring road of Bucharest.

CTP has leased an additional 10,000 sqm at its CTPark Warsaw South to Polish logistics operator TAS Logistyka sp. z o.o. It will now occupy 25,000 sqm of warehouse space, an increase of 67 per cent on the original space leased.

The Q5 Gallery has been a new addition to the Mešice art hub located on the outskirts of Prague. The event and conference space is serving companies located in Q Park Měšice in a non-traditional industrial environment.
